Help deciding if I need Pros. I currently have yellow film over OEM fogs and run them with my low beams. On road use only. No snow in my area. Would the Pros be too bright? I should also mention that I'm about to replace my 18 OEM headlights with OEM LEDs. Also is it worth getting the backlight feature? Does the backlight run with DRL?

    1) I had pros on another truck and they were excellent. Not too much in my opinion, provided they are aimed low like fogs should be. Sports have lower power and a sharper cutoff. I would get pros.

    2) Backlight is purely cosmetic. Up to you if you want that look.

    3) Backlight is going to run off of whatever you wire it to. Commonly this is DRLs but it could be low beams, etc.

I have the Max's and they are amazing, and I never get flashed because they are aimed right.

Just upgraded from Pro to the Max and I would say either go Sport or Max if you plan to use them daily driving.
I had the Pros but the cut off isn't sharp enough and even with them with the maximum aim down I would still get flashed occasionally.

Update - I have the Pros, not the Sports.

I have the Sports and they are brighter than the stock headlights. Great cutoff. Could not see spending for their pros.

no snow, you might want to consider the Elites about the same output as Sports but the package looks and gradient like OEM (on sale this weekend)

my Pros are awesome, mounted low with good light control, the light is kept low. I have not tried the others, so my experience is limited. I didn't go Max, as I wanted to actually use these for street driving and the feedback from DD and others was, the Max might be more of an off road level of brightness.

I have the Elites. I like them also just road driving.

    Enough for now
I have the max and it’s been really helpful during heavy fog on my way to work. I’ve gotten flashed from other drivers a couple times but nothing crazy, I recommend the max

Elites weren’t in the question so I didn’t comment on them. Elites are what I have now. Elite lumen output is > SS3 lumen output for yellow lamps (my preference for fogs). I believe this is because SS3 yellow is achieved with colored lens vs a yellow LED for the Elites. I’m not saying that as fact because I’d have to take them apart to know for sure, but it seems that way. I like Elites but Pro and Max are going to be brighter.

I know it isn't an option in the question, but I paired the Elites with the LED headlights and I am very happy with the combo. The light output from the fogs is great on dark rainy night drives.

I just ordered the yellow Elites and backlight harness. Shipped for $233. I'm about to install OEM LED headlights so I figured while I have the bumper off I may as well do the fogs too.

I've got MAX selective yellow fogs and PRO selective yellow ditch lights. The MAX light output is nuts, but the PRO's are impressive too. If you don't care about the ability to melt snow and ice the SPORT versions would be fine. Those throw a ton of light too.
