DDM HID install then FAIL

    ok so i've read many threads on DDM hid kits and i figure why not an get a pair. well after i just installed the kit everything seems to be working just fine. cleaned up work area and parked my truck outside. about 3 hours later i went to start my car and it wont crank over. so i got a jump and when i accelerate the lights will flicker and then my car stalls?? have any of you guys experience this?? need help? weak battery?? thanks in advance!!

    sucks. been hearing a lot of complaints about DDM lately. i dont think a grounding issue would stall out your entire vehicle

    All I can advice is recheck all your connections specially the grounds. I have the same kit haven't had problems so far. Good luck. Pretty sure someone on here will help u out

    go back to stock lights and see if it still stalls.

    back to stock and still needs a jump. same results apply a lil gas and it flickers still...

    Sounds like your alternator is going out. Get a multimeter and check your bat voltage.

    jba headers, outlaw flowmaster, 3 inch pipes, k and n cold air intake, throttle body spacer, halo headlights, HIDs, deaver springs, kings all the way round, Built right UCAs, camburg spindles, Satoshi bumper and main grill, sliders
    NOt sure if it works on our trucks but on my old car i would start it then while its running dis connect the battery and if it died out it was the alternator and if it worked fine its the battery. just the poor way to find out.:eek:

    alright took the battery to autozone to get it check and it was a dead battery.. so everything it all done!! thanks for everyones input

    Hmm, why did the truck stall after it was already started though? The alternator should keep it running. Unless these newer trucks operate differently then I'm used to.

    I have 3 sets and only had 1 ballast go out but i sent it back to them and they sent me a new one no problem.
