I see. Actually, a friend just told me that I would fail inspection (Smog to you CA guys/gals) if I don't have HI Beam so I'm going to buy the hi/low one. Eh....$20 more dollars isn't much but I was not going to spend it if I didn't need to since I barely ever drive with hi beam in the city.

Anyone have any input of the difference between DDM's two HID kits: the raptors and the ddm slim's? I mean the only obvious things I noticed on the website is that they have a $20 price difference and the raptors are slightly larger in size.

I had to call them when I was making my mind up about the Raptor and the DDM versions. They told me the difference was what you listed (size) and that the Raptor only had a one year warranty until recently when they made them lifetime. I ended up getting the Raptor for the wife's xB and will most likely be getting them for the truck too. No need to pay more for the same product if you ask me.

this might be a stupid question, but are the ballasts supposed to make a little buzzing noise when they're on?

Just put my h10 raptors in the fogs this wknd. They kick ass! No need for the headlights any more, lol....at least until I get some h7 for my lo beams or most likely just get 55w kit for my hi beams. Didn't hear any buzzing or humming from the ballasts.

Damn. I just called DDM and if anyone just ordered the Raptor ones.....it's out of stock. A representative just told me they're HOPING to get some by the end of next week. I was hoping to get mine before Christmas. :(

Eh..it's okay. I'll wait. I bought 2 sets anyway and I know it's only $20 more but I just don't feel like spending it.

I lied to my girl and told her that a set of HIDs was what I was getting her for Christmas. Technically yes, but of course there's something that she actually want that I haven't had a chance to wrap up yet. I'm not sure if there are many girls out there that would like HIDs as a present for Christmas.

I guess I can wait to receive the sets in January. My Taco does look a little funny with blacked out stock headlights and yellow fogs.

How bout with aftermarket black'd out headlights & yellow fogs? It's cool either way. I swapped for some clears with the guy I scored the skid from cuz he was tradin in his truck so he didn't care. Thinkin I was just bored & it was a free mod but lovin the clears with HIDs in them now. It's all good.....

    Nice truck.

That's not what I meant. My yellow fogs are on at night when I drive, not the lamin-x like ones. :p

Not sure about teh DDM kit but the one I got from the GB its only one filament. The reflector flip to reflect higher giving you the high beam.
