You should always get the extra relay wire harness when doing ANY HID install

It's cheap insurance! The last thing you need is to burn up your factory wiring or even burn out your Body control module

That's the module that controls all your lights and other electrical things on your vehicle

And believe me a body control module ain't cheap on a Tacoma

Just spend the extra $10.00 - 20.00 and get the relay harness

I seen some scary pics on the internet from sloppy HID installs and what they can do to your wiring:eek:

Buy using the harness you draw the start-up power for the HIDS from your battery and not your factory wires/relay

Also get a 35 Watt HID kit for your fogs, I think the 55 Watt kit is overkill

    GET THE HARNESS!

I just ordered the DDM h4 35w 6000K for my 2010 Tacoma now I am worried about messing up the electronics. Should I get the relay wire harness for this setup and if so where do I find it. I did not see one on the DDM site????

if you look on the ddm tuning website, their h10 install instructions doesn't even mention using a relay harness. in fact, they specifically tell you to cut off the harness wires from the h10 kit. i've been running my fogs constantly for the last few months with ZERO issues. if you want to run a relay, by all means go ahead. is it necessary imo? no.

headlight would be ok, right? or is it just the fogs that would need the harness?

Got my HID kit from Xtremehids today...

    They sent the wrong bulbs:mad:

Looks like it wasn't there fault cause the box was marked correct but 9005 bulbs were inside

I ordered 9145 H10 bulbs for Tacoma fogs

I still think they should be checking the contents of the boxes before shipping them out to customers though

harness relay for the hi/lo ddm kit should be included with the kit, it was with mine plus you need it anyway for the hi/lo to work right or your pretty much stuck with a lo kit,

Hey kilpp what is your lift kit sitting at 3.5?

When I fire my HQI light on my aquarium it spikes for about 2-3 seconds then settles. Is this an issue with HID ballast?
