Unless you retrofit your lens to run led bulbs all Leds will not perform well in the stock housing...

Bad glare. No real gain in performance. Loss of distance lighting.

I've been thinking of up upgrading my halogen bulbs to the LEDs as well. The LED bulbs don't fit well in the stock housings? This the same for any brand? I've heard awesome things about DDM and VLED.......

ok cool, yeah i found HID-power.com and talked to them, they stand behind their product and have a bunch of people with tacoma using their products, so its either them or ddm

I had DDM tuning HID in my Honda about 6 years ago. They were really nice quality but their customer service sucks really bad when something doesnt work. I had a ballast go out and it took me almost 4 months of Emails back and forth to get it fixed.

Now from my experience the LED Headlight bulbs with the same chips and power,I used them for about 3 months. they scatter a lot of light around the reflectors. It was brighter and a "cleaner" light than halogen but i felt i couldnt see as far with them. Thats when i went retrofit for them.

My fogs (as i have some in stock housing in my tacoma) in our trucks, they dont really throw much light out. Look bright as hell looking at them but from the driver seat not so much. Im looking at doing a project of putting 4'' projector Jeep Fogs into my truck.

Also i would be careful with the fan style heatsinks yes the bulb is waterproof but the fan is not.

I've used ORACLE LED headlights on a Nissan Altima sedan and my take is that they don't project the light far down the road as the stock ones do. With my specific setup, I had drastically modify my headlight housing for me to be able to install the LED bulb even though it was the correct size LED for my vehicle. The LED headlights require cooling and my specific LED's came with a rear end cooling fan. After a short few weeks with the headlights, one of them went out. I returned to the manufacturer for a warranty exchange, when I got the new one, the other one went out. Bummer.
I like the concept of the aftermarket headlight LED's but the technology is too new and they haven't quite figured it out yet. Wish all automakers would put LEDs in their headlights already, those systems are perfected.

Reply to my own post, lol.

And the LED's do scatter light way too much. About every fifth car would flash their lights at me. Even truckers when I'd be driving past them, my LED's throw light upwards towards their side view mirrors and they would always honk or flash their lights at me as I'd go by.
