This just me? I bought an H4 hi/lo and fogs for my taco, then same sets for an HHR and a Highlander. Decided 6000K was too blue, emailed to return/exchange units. Reply was no return on use. Fine, but I've emailed again, called, no reply. Anyone else have problems w/ them like this?

12-30-09. I posted this from my iPhone and didn't realize the typos and why NumNutz responded the way he did.

I understood and am fine with the no return policy for USED. I followed their policy, emailed, but am not getting any further response.

That's kinda normal. You used them and they're not defective.

DDM Tuning is a pretty reputable company. Martie used them when she got new headlights for her 3 series. The kit was missing a side marker light when it arrived. After a few emails back and forth they sent a replacement but it was the wrong side. Some more back and forth and the right one did arrive.

Took slightly longer than expected but they did make the situation right.

Phone calls are rarely returned these days. That's across the board and not specific to a single company. What was the content of your second email that never received a response?

Request content and tone will affect responsiveness. Remember -- you're dealing with a person on the other end of the interwebs. ;)

thats odd. I ordered my h10s and h4s a while back and one of the ballasts was bad. I called them and they answered my questions and explained the warranty service process pretty well. IM gonna have to agree with the rest and say it may be the holidays

Hey, numbnutz, I know about the used thing , I'm okay with that now. Time so far about ten days - I'd have to check my email at home (i'm doing this on an iPhone). I just wanted some feedback, other opinions. I'll keep trying. Thanks, all.

Brightest (read: most light output) from HIDs comes in around 3k. It's a yellow light but it's the most effective at lighting the road.

This is about where I started.

I went by the lighting charts on various sites selling HID systems, this forum, a couple other forums, and by recommendations from users here at TW.

6000 K seemed to be the most common, most popular light. I have 3K in my fogs. They aren't that bright. I'd like to get closer to white, which is going to be 5000 K or below.

I'm going to settle on 5000 K, keep the 3000 K in the fogs, they work better than what was in there for lighting up the sides and street just ahead of the truck.

For my truck's Hi/Los, I'm going to wait for slimcubby's next group buy and get another set for my Tacoma keep the DDM set for "spares," and I'm going to just pack up my (new, unused) sets I want to exchange and just send the damned things back with a note.

Any problem, I'll dispute the charges w/ my Bank; they're really good about this.

    Personally I'd go with 5000 K.

still cant believe the price on the things are 30$for l0's or 40$ for high/lo.
    Great deal.

Got 'em. Busy over the holidays. Actually got a phone call when they received the sets I returned to make sure I got what I wanted. Got 'em, tested 'em w/ a 12V gel cell, will install as soon as the weather warms up a little.

Good company. So far as I can tell a good product. Buy from them.

ddm has horrible customer service. hard to get on the phone with them... they are definitely understaffed. but you get what you pay for... their price cant be beat.

I don't think any of the HID aftermarket sellers are immune from criticism, justified or not. Customer service is GREAT once you can get them.

I oredered two sets, one was good the other, one of the ballasts was bad and turned the bulb blue, I submited a ticket online called a week later and they said they never got it, sent another and called daily and got the run around, no answer ect...... Finaly (three weeks later) got a hold of somebody and they said to send the bad ballast back and they will check the bad ballast, why didnt they check it before they sent it the first time? They wont send you a replacement with out getting the old one back even with a credit card number in case you dont send the bad one back, they said they would but they would have to charge me 15$ non refundable. So make sure you keep your stock bulbs on hand just incase you have a warranty issue, I keep a set in my truck just incase they crap out on the road. All in all they work good but there customer service is the craps, there prices are good. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!
