keep in mind, getting over and back from the Fort is not so precise. If you want to take the 1p ferry back, after the canon, you'll be back to the restaurant by probably 1:20 if the boat leaves on time. There's a tram/tractor thing that runs people from the boat dock to the fort and all that.

Well, maybe save the cannon for another time.

I wanna get to the ferry for 10am which means I need to leave my house by NLT 9am.

10-15 minutes early is on time! lol

If you're early, you're on time.

If you're on time, you're late.

    If you're late, you're fired.

Yeah its a hike, but I figured if there's any philly guys coming down they might be up for it. Or Delaware folks too! I know its a haul but it really is a beautiful drive.

Also I'm going to try to make it down for the meetup at CD's. But I have to make sure the wife hasn't planned anything without telling me lol.

I’m pretty positive I can make the lunch. TBD if I’ll be doing the tour of the fort or not.

    @Road_Warrior

The ferry ride to the Fort is optional, really.

@Dream Weaver suggested it as a site seeing thing...if so interested.

    Wasn't planning on leading a group tour...LOLOLOL!!!!!

    Glad you said something.

ATTN: Ed is not a tour guide for the Ferry Ride to the Fort...just putting it out there! lol

Too late. You're the captain now!

At the fort - you'll get off the boat, take the tram-thing to the fort; should be a period-dressed person outside to orient you to what you're seeing. Then it's self-exploration - unless they have the Bat tours open. For those you put on a pair of crocs (they provide) and they run you thru the bat-infested areas. I haven't been, but would like to some day.

There's a giftshop out there - but there wasn't any kind of diner/snack place. The shop sells water and maybe candy, if i recall.

    Too Funny!

I was planning on taking my wife out there prior to the 24th to get a feel for the experience.

    We still have time...

    Good morning Thread Followers.

It's a beautiful Saturday morning here just slightly northeast of Baltimore.

Dog-sitting last night was chill. Took a nap after eating my dinner I picked up from Pho Saigon near the Wawa on the 10.

Wife did not reply to my morning text so I called her...she was still sleeping.

Time to pack my air mattress/pillows/overnight bag and head back to Dover--we need to do grocery shopping.

Have a good day and a well-deserved weekend off work (if you are lucky not to work weekends).
