Sorry to hear about your wife.

That being said, it might be beneficial if your wife withdraws. I only say this because depending on the class, it might be withdraw for now and get your money back/enlist when she's better. Or lose the money you sunk into the course because she's behind in it too far to catch up.

I know if I had missed a week in my EMT class I'd be fucked 6 ways from Sunday.

PS - I'm not a huge fan of most nurses. They're pretty fuckin' catty most of them.

EMS is just full of belligerent ass nuggets with god complexes.

I deactivated mine about a month ago and haven't looked back since. Facebook sucks. People have forgotten how to keep their life personal. Why do i want to read "today my father pasted away 2 years ago, i miss him :(" thats personal!!!not facebook worthy. People are supposed to be phases of your life, come in and out. Why do i need to accept your friend request? just because we passed eathother in the hallway in highschool, lame.

Totally agree. I got rid of my fbook a couple months ago and my S.O. Checks hers every 20 minutes. We've been together almost a year and a half and I love her to death but I've walked out on her when we've been on dates at nice restaurants because she whips out her phone and starts playing with facebook.

Some people take that shit way too seriously. Too much drama. Go live your life and legitimately call your friends

Facebook is fine...as long as you understand what it is. Nothing on the internet is kept private.

What if your the messed up individual that posts things that gets mixed reactions between "WTF" from the majority but your buddies just add on making it just one of those things that should never see the light of society but it's still funny. Would I get punched in the face then?:D

People have no idea how they are being tracked by Facebook.

Ever wonder how it could be valued at $50 BILLION when it's free to use, with limited advertising? What exactly is it they're selling then?

All the potential is in the massive aggregate of marketing data that's being generated .. 95% of which is yet to be fully utilized, because they haven't quite figured out what to do with that whole pesky "right to privacy" thing.

You know a few years ago, a small software company ... realizing nobody reads the Terms of Service (TOS) that you must accept before installing a software program ... buried a line in theirs that said something to the effect of "first person to see this and call will get $10,000". It took something like 15 months before anyone called in.

No one reads the fine print ... but they really really should, because those are legally binding documents that include rights & responsibilities. And in the case of Facebook, people have no idea what they're exposed to. And it's only going to get worse as our erosion of privacy laws continues. Just beware what you put out there.

OP - Best wishes to your wife.
