5 yrs out of my stock 2011 battery and I"m 4+ yrs on the 2016 battery. When I saw this thread, I ordered one of the BeatIT jump
starters just in case. Starts right up without hesitating but 4+ yrs... who knows when the next time is its last time.

Usually there is a day where you say to yourself “hmm I wonder when my battery is going to randomly die” and the next day it dies lol. Or at least that has happened to me twice so far with OEM batts.

believe me...i worried about even typing it out and putting the bad joojoo on my battery! :D which is why I bought that beatit jumper, that and the wife works from home so her vehicle sits 90% of the time now.

Get that replacement battery for now. Order a northstar 27F battery. Swap batteries. Sell the trash factory battery or keep it as a replacement.

lol I can totally relate. The crappy autocraft battery on the used vehicle I just bought took a dump and nearly left me stranded after work. I really need to get one of the small portable jumpers just in case especially it being winter.

that’s what happened to my OEM batt in my Tacoma. One day i went to crank it and was like hmm that doesn’t sound that great and then next day it was dead lol. Luckily I had brought this large self-jumper with me, it’s just to big to carry all the time.

I am sorry, but I don't know the minimum. I wanted and held out of a pack with 20,000mAh and 800A boost to hopefully be a bit future proof.

They usually rate these things by the engine size they are rated to start. The one I recently picked up is rated at 10L gas and 7L desiel. Since the truck is 3.5L, this should be plenty.

You can find slightly lesser powered ones for less cost, but I felt more is better so I plunked down the few extra bucks.

It looks like 2000A will would do it.

Mine was rated for small V8s, but I don't know what the very minimum is for a 3.5l V6. Like you, it's best to have some margin above the minimum.

I've been told to get at the very least, a 600mAh, but bigger if you can get it.

Thankfully Black Friday is upon us!
