Well if OP is off the grid i guess we could contact BDR Exped Outfitters and point them to this thread? The OP did a fair amount of work so i still give him credit. I dont know where he went but he may be back. I am still on the fence about getting anything right now as i have a lot of irons in the fire though i know alu-cab is superb.

I asked for a quote a month and a half ago and never got a response. Feels like a dead GB. Can someone in here PM me the quote they got for the 270?

Seems like it's dead, quotes are irrelevant.

Sorry, any group buy where prices are hush hush and must be PM'd smells like a scam ...

Clearly the issue isn't on the interest side of things.
If only half of those posting in this thread are legit interested in a reasonable deal, I'd say we have at least 30-40k committed to try to get another deal going.

From what i've seen, at least for canopies, no one has the inventory, so it's just a question of placing that order through a dealer who is willing to take a hit on his margin, likely with an 8-12 week wait time.

One challenge is perhaps Alucab dictates pricing to dealers, and doesn't allow discount pricing.

That sucks. I’m looking to drop almost $10k on Alu-cab stuff this winter and got way excited when I saw this. Even 8-10% off would be awesome. I assumed I got in late but it seems like everyone is experiencing the same thing.

I have seen older GB’s for Alu-cab, so there must be some potential... maybe.

They do the pm for pricing so not to piss off other dealers. I've done several GB buys and they all have been done this way. Just FYI.
When op first started this thread, I pm'ed him for pricing and he did get back to me. At the time, it was to costly for me.

Right, I certainly understand that. Also, if the prices were publicly available someone could take it somewhere else as a reason to why they shouldn't have to pay full price. I think the issue here, and why some folks are frustrated, is that many of us have waited a month or more and have not received any word from OP.

Right. I was just committing on the “scam” part.
I do agree any op on any thread should just take a moment and update their post. That would save some frustration for other thing.

I ended up buying a shadow awning at mule expedition outfitters in Tualatin, OR. The guy working told me that a lot of inventory is stuck in shipping... maybe that’s why this has gone dead?
