Dead (non starting) 2013 tacoma

my 13' decided to die, got outta work and went to visit my parents hopped into the truck to leave about 3 hrs later and she refused to start, cranks over but wont fire up. Called the roadside service and had it towed to universal Toyota on saturday 4/20 morning waited around talked to the tech and he is kinda stumped no codes indicating anything and its now tuesday and im still in the loaner corolla..

-v6 4x4 tss edition
-only have 2500 miles on it

 

I vote: bad gas

2nd fav: ignition disable

can't wait to find out diagnosis

 

I've had tanks of bad gas but never did it make the truck not start, it would run, but run like shit.

 

Bad transponder key, maybe?

 

im guessing battery. happened to me in my brand new (at the time) 08 4runner.

My guess will be a key issue as well, or bad fuel pump maybe.

 

Does it turn over run for a sec. then die?

If its cranking over I wouldn't think battery. I would go along the lines of spark/fuel issues or even the key.

 

Im a tech and work on cars for a living and didnt mess with it since it was under warranty.. I can turn the key and it will crank over and over but dont fire, hooked my scanner and no codes

Things i checked:
-Battery ; passed load test
-codes
-1/4 tank of gas doubt it was bad

I called the dealer to check on it they got it started but i asked what did they replace for the starting issue and he said nothing?!?!? They are addressing the driveline vibration with TSB parts

 

They did nothing and it started. Oh man you are in for a bumpy ride. Good luck to you.

CHECK the BATTERY GROUND to CHASSIS.
You can crank it ALL day-it will not run.

 

The one right on the driver fender that loops into that hole?

 

You have a alarm system?

Well I told them take your time find out whats wrong or what happen.. The rep from toyota a was yhere and stumped as well and still couldn't find anything so I went and picked it up I noticed they re balanced my wheels and that took alot of the vibes out of the steering wheel..

Im gonna swap keys thinking it was a transponder issue and go from there
