Should reopen the poll and update the list in 2 weeks. That or start a new thread.

I'm kind of inclined to go with the runner-up date (Jan. 9-11) if it's available. I don't think the poll can be reopened, or if it can be, I'm dunno how. If we really wanted to do another poll, we probably have to start a new thread...it'd be the third thread about this meet so far.

Some of us don't have the luxury of playing on a pc all day. It's not as easy using tapatalk to check so I never do.

 

just hit the florida section and it should pop up

 

If I don't know about the thread, I don't worry about looking for it. On a pc its easy, on tapatalk, not bad, but why bother.

 

I thank I read some where about keeping the same date we had already talk about the 30th till the 1st and just stay off site as like in a hotel or a different camp site or something earthier way we are spending money for a place to sleep and for those who want to go bump in the night they can

I posted this in the new thread, but figured I would share my opinion here too.

If the camp is booked, it is likely because of hunting. If that's the case, I don't think it would be wise for us to be messing around in the woods where we risk getting shot at. Let alone us piss on off the hunters and again, risk getting shot at. Either way, it seems like a no win situation. Just my .02.

This is why we are pushing february, for those that wanna go before hand, fine go, you don't need us holding your hand lol

 

I just looked it up. There's no serious hunting between January and mid-March. It is small game season from the end of December to the end of February, but it's not a popular season (note, we didn't see much if any hunters out there last year). Not many people want to go camp out to shoot squirrels with rimfire rifles. Certainly not enough to tie up the campground for 3 weeks.

Instead, I think there's some other event happening, possibly some sort of equestrian trail ride or something, but that's just speculation.

Maybe the Jeeper's have descended on the area en mass and are hogging all the camp sites.

 

Unless you go after February 22nd, you're still going to be in the same hunting season you be in in January.

 

Just to let y'all know, the January meet isn't dead yet. Still exploring other options.

 

If it is that same weekend I am down, If earlier in Jan I can't and will be on that Feb meet thread

 

Unfortunately, if it happens, it's probably going to be the first or second weekend, so I'll probably see you at the February meet.

Does anybody know anything about the Mutual Mine campground? According to the map, it's also setup for RVs which likely means power and water hook-ups and restroom facilities, but I'm just speculating.
