    Got around to changing my rear diff fluid today. Didn't smell or look too bad, but the magnet on the drain plug was definitely full!




    Nice and clean now!

    yeah I know man, those holes in the bumper bother me!! I just haven't gotten around to forking over the $200 (or whatever the hell the are now) for those Rigid lights......I'll get em one of these days though

    yeah, I'm working on that "getting into shape" thing as well. I've never been much for cardio but I'm slowly getting better. Its an insane amount of fun though, which makes it worth it!

    What's the benefit of downhill with clip-in pedals? Seems more risky than beneficial.

    Since I'm not 100% comfortable with it yet, I partially in the same boat as you. But after just one run I've noticed 2 beneficial aspects so far: getting to the top of the hill is "easier" given you get power on the full rotation of your pedals vs just the downward stroke, and the clip-in gave me way more control of the bike on the ground and in the air (especially the rear end). but like I said this is all new to me right now. It was definitely scary taking me first few switchbacks at some speed and not being able to put my inside foot out while sliding. haha! :eek:

    Gotcha gotcha. Yeah I'm familiar with the full rotation power benefit from road biking, but I figured that the drawbacks of being clipped in for obstacles in mountain biking would outweigh that benefit. I didn't think about the control aspect, though!
