Here are a couple photos from last weekends trip to Joshua Tree and Corn Springs with @inv3ctiv3 . It was my first time out there and I had a blast! It always surprises me how beautiful the desert can be! Most photos (the good looking ones of the trucks :) ) were taken by @inv3ctiv3

Turns out my awesome Rotopax mount decided to snap off somewhere along one of the many dirt roads we were on. Lost everything, 2 aux cans, locking mechanism, and extender. Last I saw them was well over an hour before, so there was no way for me to figure out where they fell off. Pretty pissed that Rotopax has such a shitty mounting system for how expensive they are! Time to weld on a basket for some scepters I guess :notsure:

Bummer about losing your packs! I always wondered how secure/strong they were considering the extension mounts seemed pretty flimsy. Now I have them laying flat on top of my Cabrac. otherwise your trip looked fun!

I've had really good luck with Rotopax's customer service if you wanted to try them again. Worth a shot.

    :luvya:

    sup man!?

Yeah, I just sent them an email yesterday with the photo explaining everything. We'll see what they respond with. If they end up replacing them I would probably only end up using them on my roof rack for longer trips since there won't be as much lateral force on the bolt when they're laying flat. Most Likely just go with the scepters for the swing out though. More capacity with them anyways

haha! I've already heard it from him a few times as well :pout:

Turns out Rotopax is going to replace everything I lost.

I'll probably still be putting some scepters on the swingout, but looks like I'll have something to put on the roofrack for those extra long trips! :)

Just seeing this post now... I should have known they wouldn't survive on the swingout. Oh well, live and learn. Good choice on putting them on the Cabrac!

Still surprised I haven't seen your truck around town! :notsure:

See now I was originally looking in to Rotopax, now I'm thinking some Jerry Cans are the way to go on a removable mount in the bed for when I need them or not.

I just ordered some of the scepter MWCs, and they fit well in my jerry can holder, are yours smaller?
