What is everyone using for tire deflators? I'm tired of doing that shit manually!!

Like the staun ones? I use the ARB deflator but I guessing thats doing it manually. I prefer the ARB deflator (or something similar) because I run a different psi front/rear. I guess you could label the deflators for which side is which

But Ive only seen the Staun ones in person, multiple people had them on a trip. They seem well build and the set psi was pretty accurate. Little pricey at $70

Those are the ones I was thinking about! Thanks!

It says they come default to 18psi, do you know if it's easy to change the pressure setting? Their website says it can be changed but doesn't say how...

They come default but I want to say you just twist the cap to change the pressure

For now I'm just using the handheld. Timmy let me borrow his mag-mount antenna for baja that seemed to work well with the handheld at extending its range, so I might just get one of those for the time being. I'll upgrade to a "real" setup with APRS and all at some point though.....who knows when, cause that shit is expensive too!!

I'm keeping all the CB stuff though. With the CB I can still curse, yell, and make fun of everyone I'm wheeling with. With HAM you're not supposed to do that stuff. It's in the rule book. Plus, I have my PA hooked up to it as well. Don't want to get rid of that fun toy! :D

The nightlapses I took in Baja all turned out to be SHIT!! I had thousands of black photos! :frusty: I had it set to NIGHTLAPSE, auto shutter speed, and continuous shooting. I figured the auto shutter thing would take care of the changes in light with people moving around the camp. And I figured WRONG!!

    What's your trick??

Surprisingly after driving about 3000 miles in Baja the only failures we had (that I can remember at least) was a chipped windshield and my brand new surfboard rack pads just disintegrating. Turns out that @at_olw 's 10', 100lb log of a longboard, combined with all the dirt miles were just no match for my new pads. They literally just disappeared!

Luckily for me, FCS has great customer service and have already sent me a new pair. No questions asked, and I didn't even have the receipt! If only all customer service was that easy and friendly to deal with :notsure:

@at_olw's corner light finally jumped ship, too, but yeah, not much in terms of failures.

Good deal on the replacement pads! Crazy that they just disintegrated like that!
