Have you done anything more with mounting your rearview camera?

And do you know if your rear H/C is an earlier version than the ones that Tyler is putting out now? Looks a little different than the pictures I've seen. (beside the rectangular tubing for the swingout, I know that is standard now)

I had to put that little project aside for now. I'm currently not running my tire gate, and probably won't be for a little while.

The rear bumper that I have was his prototype bumper so there are differences. The high lift points on the rear corners have been taken out and the corners themselves have been cut back to add more clearance, the sides have been shortened to also provide more clearance, and he is using a different spindle that is basically bomb proof. That's just to name a few changes. I really like the new style, and might just be getting the new one! :D

Do you have/are you getting his bumper? I could send you a few photos of where I plan to put the camera and how it looks in the mirror/reality. It's very simple and is pretty on point when comparing it to the stock location.

Right now, I am very on the fence between Tyler's and the new ATO. ATO seems to be a little bit cheaper, but I haven't talked to them about the custom options that I would like, so the price difference may be negligible. Tyler's spindle system latch seems to be be stout than the the ATO version, but that is just looking from pictures.

I would be very interested in seeing pictures of how you do it if you don't mind. I think I will need a solution regardless of what vendor I go with.

I can't really speak about ATO since I have only ordered their HI-Lift bed mounts but I can say that Tyler has some of the highest quality parts and best customer service around. And I really can't imagine there being a tougher spindle/latch than what's on Tyler's bumper now. The thing is HUGE! I believe it's really going to come down to which one you think looks better. IMO, the design and looks of the Pelfrey are better, but in the end that doesn't really matter since it's your truck and your $$. :)

Either way, if you get a swing out you will need to relocate that damn camera. That thing has made me the laziest parker/reverser ever! I almost don't even want to put it back on for fear of forgetting how to drive in reverse without it!

 I am guilty of that as well. I mainly use it to just get as close as possible to the wall/car I'm backing up to so my nose isn't sticking out of the spot.

Thanks for the help. I'll keep an eye out for when you do relocate it.

Looking good in here! I want the Pelfreybilt rear so bad! Not sure if you got your backup camera all figured out yet, but when you do please post plenty of pictures.

Hey I just ordered a Pelfreybilt HC Rear and will more than likely be picking up an all pro expo pack as well. I am just curious how you are liking your all pro expo pack? Does it squeak? Any issues with it?

I would say with the expo or leafs in general make sure you use good amount of grease. I am running the expo's to. I like them but for the bumper i have i need some beefier.

You need beefier springs than your expos? How much weight are you carrying?

Yeah, it's been slow in here recently. Life has kept me busy as shiat lately, but the new year is coming up and everything will soon be changing!

I've had no squeaks what-so ever from my rear suspension setup. About twice a month I just give everything back there a little spray with some graphite lube, and all is good. I really couldn't be happier with the expos. Unloaded with just the rear bumper it's still a bit too light for them, but on trails and trips when i'm carry gear, it rides great! You will be very happy with them!

I waved at your dumbass yesterday when you passed Valdez but you didn't see me. Next time I'll just pull out and hit that purdy truck of yours! :D

That's probably cause your spare tire alone weighs 200lbs!!

But really.......that thing has to be over 100lbs right?

Okay. I keep going back and forth between Darkar and All pro. Either way I need something that will handle the weight of the Rear HC. I cannot make up my mind. I am kind of leaning toward the Darar with DX29 right now.

I don't have experience with that pack so I can't weigh in on the differences but I'm pretty sure Tyler had some Dakars before he switched up to the Expos. I'm sure he'd be happy to tell you why and what the differences are. Either way though, you could always customize them to whatever you want/need.

 sweet build Chris! I'm gonna be camping in Carpinteria on Saturday...where's the best place to score some grub in SB? Tacos or whatever...I went to a sushi place on State (past the French Press) but forgot the name of it and it was really good.

Thanks man! Havent been able to throw money at the truck in a while, but with the new year, thats going to change!!

Thank you! Dont know many places in Carp but if you want tacos in SB you should go to Lilly's at the end of Chapala. They specialize in tacos, and all kinds of them. Gotta try the ojo taco! :) If you want sushi you have to go to Kai Sushi on state st. Its the best around for sure!

    Have you ever weighed one?
