    Hey guys,

Traded in my 15 for a commuter car and I’ve got that paid down and looking for a 3rd gen. I found a 2017 Off Road 4x2 auto with only 6800 miles for $30,800.

Wondering what you guys thought on the price? Seems like a great deal but just need some reassurance.

    I paid 32 for a new 4x4.
I'd pass if it were me.

I don't know, there has to be a reason why someone sold that truck with 6800 miles. I would test drive it extensively before I pulled the trigger. Or pay a bit more and get a 2018 OR 4x2 brand spanking new.

They sell off-road 3rd gens in 4x2? Thought that was only 4x4?

They indeed have 4x2 O/Rs. I had to take a double-take myself when I first saw one.

^ This, although I didn't do this. I bought my truck with 7,200 miles on it, at the time I didn't think much of it. Got lucky. It has been flawless (now at 67,000 miles). I am guessing someone couldn't keep up with the payments early on, but looking back now after learning more from this forum I'd think twice about buying. Could be financial, but could also be early onset of problems.

BTW the 4x2 TRD OR is a great set-up if you don't actually need 4x4. You get the rear locker as a little added insurance. That's what I have.

He is not far from some serious mountains (the Sierras) -- I would bet a 4X2 would not be as valuable --and loose value faster than a 4X4

Let me ask you guys what’s a good deal on a 17 O/R 4x4. I just had a dealership tell me invoice was 35702 then tax and licensing. I don’t believe it and think that’s still high?

Here is the sticky with invoice pricing. It has been updated with 2018 info, but if you are looking at 2017 just use the ¨old¨ numbers. Make sure to add in all accessories.
    Very helpful info in there.

Being the end of the year and end of the quarter means you should be able to get a smoking deal, especially if they need to meet some kind of quota or sales goal.

So if I could get out the door 35 with tax and licensing would that be a deal?
