Competence vs. Give a Shit. Can’t teach the latter. Find a new dealer.

Make it right? Sorry to say, but you should just take it through a nice car wash...

    You guys are hilarious!

Yeah I was pretty pissed about it, but most importantly I’m going to look for leakage. Wiping it down did the trick:rofl:

I bought a new car once that had 2 years free oil changes but I only got 2 done as not worth the aggravation. First time put wrong oil as stated on bill and second time got grease all over the door and headliner. Even though I am older and retired would not trust these minimum wage flunkies near my vehicles any more.

Calm your tits people. It's some spilled oil. Toyota dealerships have done almost all of my oil changes on my truck & it's about to 300,000 miles. You'll be o.k.

Lol poor Toyota Mechanics. The dealer is not going to put a master tech on an oil change job. And its probably just like any other job, there are some who take pride in their work and some who are only there to collect a paycheck.

Like I said in my previous post. It's not hard to change your oil with the skid plate mounted in place and not get oil on it. It works great, snug fit, can be trimmed for shorter fingers. When done pull it out wash it up and throw it in the tool box for the next oil change. Why dealerships haven't figured out something like this?........... Because they don't give a damn. I do.nK8ObshjQwCocP4wCvrk1g.jpg ctqxglySSRy+2xekdokU8g.jpg

    Okay.

I've been happy to drop my own skid for oil changes. If a dealer doesn't and makes a bit of a mess, so be it. Oil residue on the working end of a Taco is a complete non-issue.

Me and my wife have a similar saying "If it smells like shit every where you go, you better check your shoes"

That was my point, that's why I put "mechanics" in quotes.

Just going to throw this in here. This would not happen in Germany period. Some times I wonder why we value things made in USA, I find so much crappy quality with lots of businesses and products that are made here mostly because people don’t take pride in what they do. It’s sloppy but who cares they will come back and if they don’t we have more customers anyway mentality. It’s not that it’s not a big deal or op can’t clean it himself it’s more like why should he ? He wasn’t the one who just spilled shit load of oil all over the pan. What is the harm? Not much except for All that oil is eventually ending up on the roads where it sits until it rains 10 month later and turns it into an ice patch. So yeah it is a big deal in a bigger picture.

Do it yourself, Toyota techs will just shit all over your truck, leave grease on the inside, flick boogers onto your floor, over tighten the lugs, scratch your paint, mess with your stereo, mirrors, seats, steal your change, hot rod your truck and laugh when they get fired. Learn from this.

I hope I never end up unknowingly doing business with some of the apathetic people on this thread. :D

They stole your change? Those fucks! Change is for when you're hungry as fuck at 3 am and want some delicious tacos from Taco Bell! Not for some fuck head grease monkey picking his nose in my truck!

I do as much as I can myself and have a high end mechanic shop that I go to if needed. He is not cheap, $125 bucks an hour, techs are all in a shop uniform and have been there for years, shop is like a museum and leather furniture in the waiting room. Only reason why I went to the dealer was because I wanted a brand new truck. 3 miles on the one I found and 3 weeks later I lifted it. Check this out, not even 300 miles on it. This was in October 2011 and one as of now. No regrets at all.
