Hi all, my name is Tim and I have been Jonesing for a Tacoma for a few years now. So I found a dealer willing to place an order. So he called today and they have my VIN and it's being built this week in San Antonio. Delivery estimated Novermber 11. 2017 inferno ORDCSB Manual Trans 4WD. Factory tow and premium tech package 1. MSRP minus $1,000. I felt that's fair. More to come when the truck shows up.
Not new to Toyota. Wife's daily driver is a 2013 4Runner. My dad had a Fj40 in the 70s when I was a kid. Been lurking a while here. Can't wait to start the mods. Hope to go on some trail rides soon with the other Bay Area and NorCal guys.

Nice!! Congrats. Cool sounding truck. I'd have gone MT myself if my wife weren't driving it occasionally.

So far so good. Signed the contract today at the dealer to prevent it from being sold. Built in Texas this week and being delivered week of the 5th -11th. This is worse than Christmas when your a little kid.

When did you place your order? Placed mine today, same truck but white. They are saying 6 months, but another dealer told me 8 weeks. The sales manager at the dealership I am ordering from said he would try to expedite.

The sales manager told me he had just gotten his allocation that day and it included an ORDC and he was able to change the color and transmission for me. That was about 2-3 weeks a go. He said if I had been few days later, it would be maybe up to 90 days to get the configuration I wanted. Apparently it depends how well they manage their allocation from the factory.

I was where you are up until last weekend. In the meantime I purchased AllPro sliders worked out financing and insurance and then read every post here to figure out what I was going to do once I got it.

My buddy owns the Ducati dealer in Livermore.

Yeah I'm reading as much as I can. Debating 2 or 3 inch lift Probly the OME and still debating tire wheel combos. Probly go with BAMF sliders and armor since he's local. Not sure if I wanna chop the fenders and bumper for steel replacements... we'll see.

My dad sold his FJ 30+ years ago so he's out of the game and has no current knowledge other than he's got mad off road driving skills. But I do remember all the wheeling in the sierras and so cal deserts we did as a kid and I want my kids to have the same memories.

Even though the '13 4Runner is 4wd, Wife didn't want me doing anything. So it has no mods at all. Although after showing her all these gen3 pics she says running board steps would be nice so that means sliders!

I went for a bike ride with my son recently and we found that Ducati dealer. Man they are tucked away in a quiet industrial area and I never knew they were there. They need to advertise more.
