Dealer Can't Diagnose This Vibration

Hello all, this is my first post in the forum as I just joined today to get some insight from you all. I have used the search bar lol, but haven't found any definitive answer yet. I have looked at the post that discusses the 30-10 vibration, along with the needle bearing. Here is my situation:

I have a 2023 TRD Sport. Truck has about 9k miles on it. 0-6k miles truck road smooth, but I could tell it needed an alignment. Took in for first service around 6k miles. Alignment was performed, tires were rotated. After this service I noticed a vibration in the truck. It is primarily felt in the steering wheel (but sometimes in the floor and pedals) at the following times: coming to a stop between 25mph down to 20mph, highway speeds between 60-68 is the worst and most consistent, sporadic at 70mph. It is most prevalent when the truck is driving up a slight incline or going down a slight decline in the road/highway.
I mentioned this to the dealership and they told me to bring the truck back in. When I did, They told me that they found that some of the lug nuts (that they put back in during my tire rotation) were not torqued to spec. So they torqued these to spec and said that would fix the issue.
Well as you may have guessed this didn't fix the issue. Arranged to take the truck back in to the dealership to have a tech ride with me so he could feel the vibration. He did feel the vibration in the steering wheel. Made an appointment for a few days later. They said that they would start by doing a road force balance and if that did not get rid of the vibration they would open a ticket with Toyota to discuss the problem to see if they had any solutions. Road force did not fix the issue, and their conversation with Toyota wasn't too helpful. Toyota told the dealership that this vibration was normal because I have a TRD Sport with Sport Tuned suspension and a more aggressive tire. I completely disagree with this. If it was the sport tuned suspension I would have felt this from day one, and my tires are not aggressive whatsoever. They are the factory Toyo tires that come on the TRD Sport. Dealership told me to bring it back if it got worse but I don't think they are able to pinpoint the issue.

This is not a jarring vibration, just a vibration that is there enough for myself (and the tech) to notice it, and something that definitely wasn't there before my 1st service.

Anyone gone through these issues and did you find a fix? I've thought maybe it was a tire issue, maybe uneven wear due to the truck being out of alignment before the first service.

    Thanks

Just curious, what made you think the truck needed an alignment?

Truck pulled, and steering wheel was not completely centered when parked and wheels straight.

Are all the wheels balanced properly? Maybe you lost a balancing weight along the way on a wheel

Properly, I'm hoping so. Dealership balanced the wheels the last time it was there and the problem has persisted.

2023 trd off-road bought in June has 800 miles on it. I notice a vibration as well when I am braking from 30-10mph and it disappears. Not sure if it breaks in overtime or if it is rear drums? Dealer said they hadn’t heard of this before lol.

My 2022 trd pro has a lateral vibration at speed. I dont know that I've noticed it on braking or inclines, but it js annoying to have the seat rattle on the center console at 75mph

it's caused by driveline angle. Can be corrected with shims if you're OCD about it, but its really a non-issue. Put some weight in the bed, or hook up to a loaded trailer, and i bet it goes away

If it were mine, I would swap the tires.
Put the fronts on the back, and the backs on the front.
    See if anything changes.

Probably. Im guessing it didnt do it new, but does it now bc suspension has settled a little bit. There can be (rare) issues with taco's, but this really isnt one of them. Enjoy your truck, you chose wisely.

Keep taking the truck to them over and over to document this. My coworker just dealt with a lemon law case with his wife's car for a vibration issue they could not remedy.

This fixed my significant deceleration vibration. my driveline angles were ok but the leaf springs that come with all but the TRD OR are weak and cause axle wrap, pulling driveline angles out of spec.
i have essentially no deceleration vibration now. my high speed has always been fine - no vibration.
Toyota updates the TSB to include the latest model year rather than fix the problem in the factory. I don't know if this is the latest incaarnation. Dealer SHOULD know about this.
Apparently some don't have this problem or don't care.

EDIT: this is a common problem and MANY threads about it.

Mine has done it since new. 26000 miles and still the same. According to some its an issue with driveline angles being out of spec. You can test it by adding weight in the bed and see if it goes away.

Would you recommend bringing that information to the dealers attention?

I had the same problem with a dealership. I switched dealerships, they did another road force balance and guess what: it went away. The first dealership I went to was ill-equipped mentally when it came to balancing and rotating the tires. Second dealership too care of it. No issues since with three rotations and about 6k miles.

Honestly, I'd have cancelled them once they admitted the lugs weren't tight. If you want to go at them, that's where I'd start.
