If your truck is 100% stock, then to me it sounds like they did a crap job balancing the tires or you are feeling the uneven tire wear from the bad alignment while driving. The sport does have the stiffest OE shocks of any Tacoma model, but I bet it would go away if they swapped to a fresh set of tires, or balanced them correctly. It would be hard to get the dealer to replace them since they're a 'wear item', but it's worth a shot. IMO driveline angles should not be an issue on a completely stock truck, but I'm sure someone on this forum will disagree.

Definitely tell dealer and have them go for a ride, decelerating (no need for brakes) between 30-10mph. if vibration, TSB applies. (unless you are TRD OR)
btw: i believe when the driveline is pulled out of spec, it is the center support bearing that is causing the vibrations and the frame resonating when excited by it, because the universals on the driveshaft can't deal with the angles. The resonance will peak at a sweet spot, in your case possibly 25mph. The spring fix uses TRD OR springs.

I have had the tech ride with me and he felt the vibration. My vibration is not so much the 30-10 but at highway speeds. I do feel the same vibration on the highway when I am coming to a stop around 25mph.

You may have multiple problems. Bring TSB to their attention and ask tech why it does not apply if you feel vibes at 25mph. At least checking driveline angles (first step of TSB) might turn something up.

Yea, that TSB is pretty thorough and seems spot-on regarding your issue. Hope you can get a solution you're happy with, and please keep this thread posted about the outcome.

I just shared that article with the service manager at my local dealership. he said he has a couple of Toyota engineers looking into the notes I told him about, and he is passing it along to his tech. What is TSB?

Had a similar problem in my 2017 mainly with the 10-30 mph vibration. Got worse after my lift, placed a I think 2 degree shim under the leaf packs and completely fixed my problem. Never had high speed vibrations as far as I can recall.

The TSB excludes the off roads I believe because they started to put rear shims on them. I remember I looked at a few off road models a few years back and they actually came from factory with a small leaf shim

The TRD OR is excluded from the TSB because they already have the TRD OR leaf springs which are stronger than all the other trims.
If the TSB results in replacing the leaf springs, TRD OR package leaf springs is what is used.

Like others have already pointed out, it sounds to me like its a tire balance issue. When I had factory wheels/tires it was smooth and than I had vibrations as you described when I moved over to aftermarket wheels and Baja Boss ATs. Went back to the tire shop and they re-balanced all the tires and its been smooth sailing ever since. They claimed a weight must've fallen off but who knows as its been riding good.

It shouldn't need to be this way but if all else fails. You can always take it to a reputable tire shop and let them try balancing the tires. Hope you get this figured out.

i once bought a new vehicle (before tecoma) and it did indeed come with defective tires from the factory.
    many things can cause virbrations.
If your tacoma is under warraty (it is), the TSB is something dealership needs to address. maybe they will have explanation as to why it does
not apply. but this is a common problem. feet to the fire. you deserve it fixed.

Great informative post. Thank you. I have the 30ish mph shimmy in the wheel and ass end as well as a shimmy around 62mph.

you reckon I show the TSB to the dealer and ask them to look into it? I have my 10k oil change soon.

I forwarded it on to the service manager at my dealership. I have a 2023 which isn't in that bulletin from 2020 but I figured it was worth a shot

Ran smooth, tires rotated vibration starts.
    This is very telling.

Thats what I thought too. To me that is where the issue has to be. Dealership doesn't see it that way

Yeah, I got new tires at 2,000 miles. Got them rotated at the dealer with 5k oil change. Noticed vibration after that. Wonder if there is an updated TSB that indicates it includes 2022 MY sports. The one I quoted above is up to 2021.
