    i don't know the answer to this question but i thought a useful comment:
    the damper is part of the tsb referenced earlier for driveline vibration on deceleration.
    when i first drove off with it, there was a noticeable "more solid" feel to the steering wheel. if
    you can find a way to do it yourself, i think you will like it.
