I agree! Don’t sweat the small stuff, forgive people for little mistakes along the way. See what I’m getting at?

Mine got a door ding in a parking lot, lit it on fire, and making an insurance claim.

It seems a lot of people in here have never purchased coilovers before.

When I bought Fox coilovers for one truck, and King coilovers for another, I specifically remember a disclosure regarding "handling" marks and that they are normal.

Someone had to put the coilover together by hand, with the use of a variety of tools, so handling marks are expected.

Maybe not to the full extent of that paint chip, but I'm just saying...it happens.

Fill it with paint and go on with life.

You aren’t wrong. It was probably from getting sloppy with the spring compressor. They should have touched it up before it left the shop. But clearly they dont care . And dont think it’s important enough for you to care about either.
When the dealer bent my Timbrens by not setting the ubolts in the correct place, they told me “too bad, we aren’t familiar with those bump stops…”

Lol they literally are just a little taller than stock stops and get installed the same way. Luckily Timbren sent me out a new set at no charge.
Fuck incompetent dealerships . If they cant do basic quality work, then why am I paying for it ? Their labor rates aren’t cheap..

It is amazing the amount of folks on here that wouldn't care if the Dealer scratched up their 25 - 45 thousand dollar vehicle....

It's a spring. That paint would of chipped off in a few years anyway. It's easily fixable by the OP. If he has the time to deal with service about, that's fine.

While I agree, If you had your truck in for any type of work and they scratched it, damaged it, I'm sure you would be pissed.
That's the reason I do my own stuff. But if I have to have the dealer do work, say a recall, I would want it back exactly as I sent it in. And I would want what ever work they did to be right.
Scratching up the springs, although not life changing, is still not right..

Oh I agree. If it's something like the body paint it would be a different story. But a spring to me is inconsequential. Pay for the paint the spring company can supply and a free oil change.

Has the OP even come back yet?

I'm guessing he bought a Ford Raptor

Well there's gotta be a lesson here somewhere. I've seen different ideas from custom condom in a can to paint/nail polish I'm interested in seeing what the dealership has to say. I don't think OP will be thrilled with the out come, I think they will either touch it up or tell him to live with it. It's in a location that is prone to get more chips. I know how it feels to be the one to causes the first ding, it sucks when someone else does it.
