That was my assumption too. I notice on their website there is a sweet 2012 Baha still on the lot now over a month later that was the basis for my website configuration, unfortunately an automatic. I have a suspicion they were dragging this out so I would get frustrated and take it off their hands.

Winch, front hitch, step bars, bed extender, bed step, gull-wing toolbox, tailgate lock, security system, cb radio, etc.
It's almost August. Production has pretty much ended for the 2012 models, with most factories now gearing up for 2013 models. That essentially rules out nearly all special orders for 2012 models. The company's goal now is to sell off as much of the existing 2012 stock as possible.

Instead of asking about special orders from the factory, ask if the dealer can get something very similar (vehicle type, color, etc) from another dealer in the area. I did that and got my truck in just two days (over the Christmas holiday - special orders from the factory required weeks). The local dealer installed the lesser options I wanted (alarm, steps, etc).

Palo Alto has this in a TRD extra value package. I think I will see how much I can get this upgraded with the extra things I want.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
That is false. It is the Sport "upgrade package" that will no longer be available. You'll have your skewp.

This is also false , 2012 Sports don't have a scoop , they have a slit

The last of the true skewpz is the 2011's

    Both are false.

Neither is a skewp... just non-functional blisters in the hood with decorative trim on the front making them look like skewps.

Try Cars.com find it and tell them to get it. If they will not go to that dealer and buy it.
    Easy as that.

thats because the first gen boxes where better. i drove an 04 that was in a terrible wreck and almost totaled it also had almost 70k on it. that truck shifted better than mine did the day i drove it off the lot.

i have owned so many new and used cars i have lost count and the manual in the 2nd gen tacoma is one of the worst i have felt to date. search it out here on tw idk about the v6 first hand but, the 4 bangers have the cheapest piece of shit clutches in them, throw out bearing issues etc...

You can do it, but Cali will penalize you with extra taxes.

depends completely on the configuration you want.

toyota is wierd where they only make their cars a few ways, they won't customize them to what the customer wants (i.e. you cannot get painted mirrors on a offroad or a color matched grill etc). they also make different trucks for different regions.

There was a white one at Geweke in Tracy three weeks ago, try to get ahold of April Smith there. It was originally my order, but I needed a moving vehicle ASAP and it just so happened 6 dealerships in the bay area between Marin and Santa Cruz had:

    Silver Streak
    Access Cab
    4x4
    V6
    6-Speed
    TRD Off-Road

    So I bought one.

Steve Fang @ Piercey should be willing to make an order for a 6-speed manual, but they'll need a deposit, and you basically won't be able to negotiate on price since it's an order, which is pretty standard. It will take 6-12 weeks to get your order in. If they just made an order for a manual transmission or even an auto, they should be able to change it's configuration if you find a good dealer rep, otherwise some of the larger volume places are like "bl*w me". If it was something sitting on a lot, then you could negotiate below invoice, which is what I did at Santa Cruz.

I have the contacts for each location, just PM me if you want zee infos.

Thanks for the recommendations, I think I have found a suitable truck and have reserved a 2013.
