That’s Exactly why I am asking this because I figure they might try to pull something like that. The guy a couple posts up said he gets 20 to 30% off as a repair shop so when they told me that they would give them to me for their cost it would have to be at least 35% which would be in the ballpark of what I was expecting.

Yeah, that’s one thing that I was thinking might be the case. I’m pretty sure he said I could have accessories at cost. I am going to try and include the headlights in it but they’re not an accessory. Like you were saying they would be considered a part which they might not let me get at cost. And the LED headlights are by far the most important thing I want to get.

Yeah, that doesn’t look like too bad of an option due to all the extensive helpful information on that other thread.

I thought it was pretty easy myself. It takes a bit of stones to cut the factory wiring, but It's pretty straight forward. I'm sure I have posts in that thread about it. I'd rather not run an adapter, and I was impatient lol.

Just know cutting into the factory harness , you’re giving the dealer a great excuse to not cover any electrical issue that may arise.

True enough. In my case I had no warranty to worry about. I'd also be stunned if a dealer caught that you had switched lights I you do a clean job, it will look factory.

It's roughly 40%, some TRD stuff is much less, but all parts have a hold back. The more they sell, the larger it is.

Several different parts managers supplied the info.

I’d relook at all this stuff and determine if you need it. What’s the need for a clamp on exhaust tip cover? When I bought my 2004 when I was 21 I forked over for that and regretted wasting the money on it. If you need a skid plate you can get a real 1/4” thick aluminum one from Mobtown for the same price.

You might want to consider wheathertech Mats @$107 ($170 for both rows) before getting a dealer/Toyota version. Mine are 13 years old, still clean up like new, and the carpet below still looks new.

Haha. I hear ya. Truth is I don’t need any of it but...it looks cool. The truck I’m getting is a bare bones literally NO options trd or truck. Unheard of. I even got them to snag it before any port options were put on. I don’t need/care about any of the options. TRD mats come w both rows and are cheaper than the ones you mentioned. Tonneau, if price is right I can sell one I have now for maybe 100-200 less than newly purchased at cost. Worth it bc mine is a little faded. Will ceramic coat this one. TRD skid plate looks cooler and will be $160 less than the one you showed. Black exhaust tip..$50 no biggie considering I’m not getting the $4-$5,000 of options most people are. LED headlights are an expensive look cool add on but fortunately the truck will be mostly paid off when I buy it so I’m not really worried about it.

Hi, fellow base OR owner here. It did have flaps and chrome exhaust tip, but that's it. Oh, and tow, which is just included now.

For the Tonneau Cover - Get the LoMax from @GotExhaust

FAMILY for free shipping and you won't pay sales tax.
Order online and the discount applies.

The prices you listed are MSRP. Body shops get a discount taken off of MSRP. Certain dealers set their own pricing. I worked in parts for 2.5 years at one. Dealer cost depends on the demand of the part. The more it is used the less cost it is and the more markup the consumer will pay.
The parts/accessories that are rarely ordered will cost the dealer more and usually, the markup is less. At least from what I saw.
Accessories will usually cost the dealer more. Think about 50% to 100% markup depending on the accessory itself.
Also, for those LEDs, is there anything special that is needed, or are they plug and play?
They probably will pull one over on you, especially since the Parts department, most likely, was not included in your deal. We never, my parts department, never honored sales deals like that if they didn't consult us first.

Cheers to the covering your bases. Yea, The tow package which I needed was $650 in 2016. Considerable.

The hardest part for me was finding one with no options that had the black interior with the orange stitching. For some reason Southeast Toyota didn’t have the option of getting the $485 LED package. All the ones that had LEDs were part of a larger $4000 package.

+1 on the LoMax cover. PM @GotExhaust, it's a great cover. You can at least get a quote.

    Appreciate the info!!
There is an aftermarket harness I will buy to make the LEDs plug and play.
Yea, something like that with parts dept is what I’m afraid of. I do have it in writing that I can get them at cost as part of the deal.
So some of those parts at JimEllis are probably close to dealer cost already? (34% off MSRP)

Yeah, most likely. I bought all the accessories I needed from there. Got them quick and Jon at the front was great to deal with.
