I'm on the fence about removing it. I already pulled off the ones that were on the rear door edges since they did a bad install and it was peeling off on its own due to the way the door curves. I'm already noticing the edges pick up dirt and it's fairly noticeable; even after a hand wash where I do my best to clean it up.

Meanwhile on the front bumper I've got 2 paint chips before the truck hit 5k miles. Most of my driving is city driving. So I'm aware the paint is thin and could use protection.

    What do y'all think?

Get a proper off-road bumper. Then you cut away all the chipped portions of the plastic bumper cover :notsure:

You should see the clear film on my 17, your looks great. The chips are a price we pay for having a white truck.

Full coverage ppf is great. The oem half coverage ones suck because you can see the cutoff especially on the hood. I got the full PPF on the entire front end and rear view mirrors. You can’t even tell it’s there and no chips. Comes with lifetime warranty too so if it fades or peels or anything, they’ll replace it (not installed by the dealer).

I have the same issue with the dirt lines, but mine is a lot worse. I went to the dealer and bought the White touch up paint for my chips. I looked at You Tube videos on how to apply the paint as it seems I can always find an easier or better way to do things.

I’m gonna be in the market for PPF soon where did you get yours and how much? Lifetime warranty sounds great

I used a dealer that used XPEL film which is arguably one of the best out there. Price really depends on the area. I would check the reviews and the warranty offered. You can also go there and check one of their completed vehicles to evaluate their quality. Another decision maker for me was that the local dealerships sublet their cars to them.
For reference. I paid 2k in October of 2021. I’m in Southern California.
Check out the installer locator https://www.xpel.com/clearbra-installers
Here’s a most recent picture, I have 10k miles. We have constant sand storms here and it’s seen quite a few places like Pismo, Monterey, Carmel, Yosemite, Sequoia and the Grand Canyon. No rock chips or scratches or sand damage. My windshield is slightly pitted when the sun hits it just right but the PPF looks like new. EF4EA348-FF9E-42AB-A9C0-2311E123422A.jpg

My truck is getting PPF Cavaca done right now. I took a look this morning and they had finished the hood. The installer tells me to expect a bit of a gap on some of the lower bumper pieces around the fog lights due to the cutouts he uses. Hoping it turns out ok. Its not cheap!
