I know Fog lights have been covered here before. But, has anybody had the dealer install fog lights on thier tacoma? I have a 2011 Pre-Runner, SR5, Access Cab, 4cyl. no fog lights! maybe pre-wired? I don't know. I am curious if anybody has had a dealer do it, and what did it cost?

Dealer will most likely rape you. My 2010 was pre wired for fogs. I just needed the fog light assemblies, relay and switch. only thing I got from the dealer was the switch cuz it was the same price as what the parts store wanted $55. Fogs I got off this site from a guy getting rid of his bumper and the relay I got at advance for $35. I think rock auto sells the fogs pretty cheap, dealer wanted $250 an assembly. Eff that. And just think if they install. I would have to cry. If you do it yourself, it shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes assuming that your truck is pre wired. Best way to tell is to pull the top left most blank out your dash left of the sterring wheel. If ya got a harness there, you're pre wired for the switch, and if you look inside the wheel well where the fog lights should be and see a harness, guess what? You are pre wired. Good luck to you, and if ya need any help just hit me up.

After reading some other posts, checked my truck. It isn't pre-wired for the fog lights! Same question though: Has anyone been quoted a price from the dealer to put these things in?

Texoma, thanks for the input. Yeah, dealers are a rip off! There is no harness in the bumper behind the blank. So it has to be the hard way, if I do it.

    Hey Texoma,
I have a 2006 Tacoma pre-wired for fog lights (i.e. plugs hanging behind the bumper plastic blanks), but when I take out the dash blank there are two female plugs (a white four hole one and a green 6 hole - though only 4 of the 6 have wires to them). can you tell me which, if either, of these is the correct plug?
I will attempt to add a photo of the plugs, if you could tell me which one to use that would be great.
Any suggestions on switches and relays and prices would be fantastic - allowing for shipping to BC, Canada.
    Cheers
    Geoff

SirGeoff- The fog light should be the white 4 pin. I just took mine out to confirm.

    Derecho,
Many many thanks!!! now I have to figure out how to link that Toyota white 4 pin female to a non-Toyota lighted toggle switch (Toyota want $92 for a switch that others such as Otrattw or Oznium offer for $12!!! and the Toyota relay is $135!!!).
Would anyone suggest buying the Fog Lights in a kit, even though I don't need the wiring klt, because even throwing away the wiring kit, they still appear cheaper than buying standard lights?
