Is there anyone not experiencing these issues ? I have an 18 DCLB sport and haven’t noticed anything to worry about yet.

I haven't had any issues with my late-2018 TRD ORDC but I live in flat Florida so the only hills I have to contend with are on the interstate!

Mine still sucks under normal conditions. Traffic is terrible. It drives worlds better when I'm towing my 4500lb boat though...

Mines also a late 2018, and my driving is generally pretty flat as well. Any hills it pretty much acts the same as my 07 4.0 did. I’m still on stock tires to though. Planning to go to 255/75/17 in the future. Might act differently then.

Big hills are fine. It's those small inclines once you get in to 5th or 6th gear that it doesn't want to downshift unless you are half way to the floor with it. I've got stock tires too.

Agreed. This is the only issue I’ve noticed, too. Hopefully they can update the tranny and eliminate this issue and then it will be solved, at least for me.

Too lazy to read through 7 pages of post. Was to OP's truck pure stock or suspension/driveline/tires modified?

#2....take it there and park it overnight before you demonstrate the cold downshift from 2-1.....it will be cold and should show the problem.....does not do it when too warm
