Thank You LOL.. I could have bought a 4WD for another $2700 or so..I just don't need one and all that comes with it. Since I have owned three Gen 2s I will share the differences. I really don't see how it cannot be better in many ways...

So ~$5K to move on up to a 2016 after all is said and done. Not to bad. Good luck with the new truck.

As for the 4x4 versus 2WD argument, in my area 2WD is useless for a few weeks a year. That being said, if I lived somewhere without snow, I'd be tempted to go with a 2WD to save the cash. So don't worry about the people knocking you. It's all a matter of perspective.

Yeah Thats why I started a 2WD only thread so us 2WD owners have a welcoming place to hide LOL

With my additions on the 15 I could not use on the 16, Around $6000 A tad more where I wanted to be..... but I ordered the Premium and Tech JBL NAV, Entune Plus, I did not have any of that on the 15, along with the other additions the 16 brings to the table. A 4WD would have been nearly $9K more. I did not need 4WD.

Plus I originally intended to keep the 15, sell my 12 Mazda MX5 and buy the new redesigned Mazda ND..That would have been at least $12,000 and I did not see $12,000 in the new Mazda over what I have, So I decided to blow half and buy the a 16 Tacama where i WILL see $6000 well spent

if I were trading, I would have added $1900 to my out of pocket cost...too much. They offered $26K ACV trade

    Yes sir
Hey I'm sort of jealous of you 2WD since you get spindle lifts. Spindle lifts are the shit

LOL I have no idea what they are..Educate me. I would lift the truck a tad if I could without buying or changing anything.

Well I mean, I don't know a ton since I can't use them on my truck because it's a 4x4. But basically from what I understand you remove your current spindles and replace them with something like maxtrac spindles to obtain lift. They're sweet because you can lift it 4 inches without going to a drop bracket lift like a 4x4 would have too for example. You should be able to get a smaller spindle to obtain lift like 2 inches let's say. It's just that 4 inches of lift makes it easier to clear 35's so

What dealer in NC is it getting delivered to? I live in Charlotte and the couple dealers I've been in still have no information to give me. I'm trying to understand how everyone's able to order a truck when my dealers "say" they still don't even have any information yet.

He didn't tell me who it was allocated to. I will find out. I am up north for a week with my brother, He looked it up and looked for a truck in SET that was what I wanted, Found one headed to NC and snagged it. Because it is sold it may come sooner rather than later, If your dealer cannot locate cars he is not trying because I have a VIN number. All dealer should be able to punch in a vehicle it is on the way and has a VIN. There are some builds that will not be available as there are 0 allocations
