What kinda interest rate did you end up getting through your credit union? I have a credit union through my job and went through them to get my loan. I thought it would be more of a hassle with the salesman, but was stright up with him when he asked me how I was gonna finance the truck. I told him, look I get good rates through my CU, so i am probably gonna go that route, I dont know how that affects your coommision, but thats what im doing. He was familiar with the CU and the rate we get and said definitely do that dont go through us, cause the rates are way higher. He said I get my money no matter how the truck is sold as long as its sold. I was surprised and happy he wasnt a sleazy salesman like you hear horror stories about.

I actually made a sheet for dealing with this. It went on top of the credit application and stated OFAC purposes only no credit inquiry allowed, and I signed it before customer signed it. They still filled out a 5 liner (top 5 lines of an app) but I knew that sheet meant OFAC only. By leaving it on the credit application that paperwork was then secured more Fort Knox-like than a copy of your bubble gum purchases for the last 6 months.
