Does your dealer always push an alignment every time you visit? Mine does and I guess it’s because I have toyoguard platinum and maintenance is covered until 45k mikes. So they’re not making any money off me right now. There’s no need for alignment unless it’s pulling or uneven wear right?

If it's free and you're already there, why not.

Tell them you want a courtesy check and if it’s off then you’ll pay to fix it.

I believe you get 1 free alignment under Toyota care.

I just assumed they’re trying to make an easy $100!

Unless you ask, you are going to keep assuming.

Yup, that sounds about right. After that, I think they ask $129 for it, unless there's the $99 deal going

I had to pay for the alignment on mine but it had too much toe out from the Factory

My toe was out when I did an alignment after my lift at 28,000 miles. Not sure if that was from the lift or always been that way from the factory.

My dealer also pushed them starting around 15,000. I assumed it was just a moneymaker. If the bolts are properly torqued the alignment should last quite a while unless you are pounding it hard or running 60 lb tires.

Wife paid the extra $50 for her accord when she got new tires for lifetime alignment at Goodyear/Gemini auto care.

If you’re worried about alignment and it’s not covered, I’d go do something like that. It was $165 and I bring it to them to rotate and check alignment every 6 months when I change the oil. If it’s off (and it usually is from her curb impacts:frusty:) they adjust it. Good as long as you own the car. Hell might be worth it when modding the suspension.

    Right

And don't forget there's always risk of damage to your vehicle any time it's at the stealership or something goes wrong while performing any type service.

    Hope that helps
    Cheers!
