They hooked it up, sounds like your warranty worked out pretty good!

Jamesboy2233 - How many major parts have been replaced on your 95.5 truck? Just curious.

Sounds like it’s cracked, I completely agree.

    Torque converter-
    Clutch was staying locked.

I wasn’t sure about the TC clutch. So I pulled off the transmission pan and had a look. I found some sticky mud in the pan. It had been circulated with the fluid. I removed the torque converter clutch solenoid and it was a little gummed up. I cleaned it out and re installed it, and changed the filter. Also flushed a lot of fluid through it before this so the fluid was clean. After 2 mins of driving the clutch unlocked, and the noise disappeared. Been working correctly since.

I agree with Spitdog. You can close/lock it as far as I'm concerned.

Wild the trans went bad at 70k out of nowhere. I thought the original trans was going out in my 05 V6 Tacoma back in Febuary at 192k. I took it to the dealer and they dropped the pan and the fluid was great with no parts or any fragments. It ended up being corroded pins on the electrical harness that plugged into the driver side of the trans that caused the issues. The harness that went into the trans and to the valve bodies had to be replaced but $750 later to the Toyota dealer and all was good.

It's good to hear when someone gets what they paid for and that platinum extended warranty was sure worth it. This posting made my day!!

You were correct in your assessment from the very first postings, hope your advice caused the OP less stress through this whole difficult process.
