Fair enough. I would imagine I'd be pretty pissed in your position. Time to stop talking though if you are honestly that angry and walk. Take your deposit, do some internets, and find the truck you want within a few hundred miles and buy.

Serious? I've learned a ton from this thread already. This thread made me realize that it's possible to get the two packages together, which goes against what I was told.

Haven't you had enough from this dealer? Time to take your deposit & walk...the fact that you feel like you need to get a truck now could make you settle for less than you want. If you're going to spend $30k+, you need to get what you want, not what they can talk you into taking 'cause they screwed up.

Based on what the dealer is doing even if I needed a truck now and was going to settle I'd still not deal with this dealer. Go settle for something else at a different dealer...

Though to be fair, you can get into a cutting off your nose to spite your face situation if you take my advice too far.

Rent or borrow a truck for your motorcross events for the next 6-8 weeks while a competent dealer gets you what you need. There is more than one way to solve your short term motorcross problem without being unhappy and regretful long term by taking a truck you don't want from a sucktacular dealer.

Simple... if they don't have what you want, you can try another dealer. If you want to negotiate the price down because it doesn't come with the things you originally wanted, then so be it.

I'd say at this point you are best off to walk if you aren't happy with the truck. Sounds that dealer wants to sell what he has and not do any extra for you. That attitude will extend onto the warranty work, service, ect.

I know you have been waiting for almost 4 months for this promised truck, but personally I think if you are angry as you sound about it, then its time to walk. Life is too short to be angry. But maybe I've calmed down now that I've gotten older. Buying a new truck should be fun and exciting, not make you angry.

    http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?zip=20904&endYear=2016&listingType=new&engineCode=6CLDR&listingTypes=new&transmissionCode=MAN&sellerTypes=d&sellerType=d&transmissionCodes=MAN&showcaseListingId=0&mmt=%5BTOYOTA%5BTACOMA%5B%5D%5D%5B%5D%5D&driveGroup=AWD4WD&modelCode1=TACOMA&showcaseOwnerId=0&startYear=2015&makeCode1=TOYOTA&engineCodes=6CLDR&extColorsSimple=RED&searchRadius=500&listingId=393263915&Log=0

That truck there is a big drive from you, but its Red, 6 speed, sliding rear window, cruise, keyless entry, Access Cab, but its a TRD Off road package, not an SR package. But it's the ONLY AC 6 speed within 500 miles of you.

Do we have an update on what the OP did? I'd walk. I gave my dealer a list of specs that I had to have or I'd go out of state to get if off a lot in Denver. The guy delivered what I wanted.

If they'll replace everything at no extra cost to you, I'd consider that route so long as it was covered under warranty. Otherwise I'd walk away.

Nope. Driving my slammed 1996 855R. They ordered the truck they said they couldn't do before. I'll update the main post on Monday with the outcome and the dealer but they ordered my Barcelona Red Access cab, 4x4, V6, manual, SR package, Convenience package, tow package. I'm paying $29,505 out the door for it. It'll be here in probably 8 weeks. I'm bummed that I have to wait another 8 weeks, but happy they actually agreed to order what I originally wanted.
