The truck was driving perfect and now it has a bad tire/rim minimum and something else making it pull. On the drive into work it's still pulling. If the alignment is perfect and the front tires are okay then something else is messed up. The truck has 14k miles and I don't think I should just drive it and deal with it.

It's hard to see in the video but that road is pitched from right to left. The truck is pulling to the right against the roads pitch. It's worse on the interstate or on a perfectly flat road.

It's going to an independent shop today after work to have it inspected.

    My opinion.

The GM cared enough to get involved. He likely is trusting his people to do the right thing. They may be trying but the results are not forthcoming. If he has any questions about the results I'd invite him to drive your otherwise perfect truck with only 14K miles. I'd ask him if it is necessary for you to get the opinion of an independent shop. I'd then ask him if he would please take some personal responsibility for making sure the problem caused by his dealership is corrected. I'd ask him if he questions whether the problem you are experiencing is the result of the actions of his people. This insures you both agree on the problem.

I'd kindly point out the measure of success in not terribly difficult. You would like to get his word that he will have his master mechanic drives the truck on a flat road with the steering wheel centered. With or without the brake pedal applied, the mechanic needs to insure the truck does not pull but that the trucks speed can be reduced to a stop while the truck stays in a straight line. Ask him if he would please, to the best of his human ability, insure the problem is corrected and the results are VERIFIED. Now you both agree on the measure of success.

Good luck. If this doesn't work I'd say you've done everything you could to give the dealer a chance to correct the problem. You also have a well documented and factual story if you have to pursue other avenues.

Then your truck wouldn't get serviced. 99% of people seem to think that dealers are out to get you, a ripoff, whatever the case may be. Everyone messes up. Also, everyone assumes the kid that crashed the truck is a grease monkey tech. Who's to say it wasn't a porter?

It bothers me, I've been working at a dealer since I was 18 and people on forums basically assume anyone who works at a dealer is awful. Shit I take better care of customers cars than my own. I really, really wish that people would educate themselves on how dealers work from the inside before talking shit. It's as if I would attack anyone who works at McDonald's because I got sick from it once. Just doesn't make sense.

OP is in a rough situation but is handling it well. I bet it Will get resolved since he is keeping his cool so well through this.

/Endrant. Not a personal attack at anyone. Just venting frustrations.

It's situations like OPs that pisses people off. I don't think for a second that everybody thinks everybody at dealerships is bad.

I totally see why people get pissy over this, bc people pay a lot of money for their trucks only to have some little turd disrespect it. I don't think anyone needs educating on the topic, it speaks for itself. If anyone, you should be irrirated at the little turd that did that to OPS truck, not venting frustration with TW members for getting pissed, bc he's the one of the one's who give you guys a stain on your rep.

There's no way I could've not went off on the turd driving it. Too bad you didn't call somebody over when it was smashed up on the curb.

You're probably gonna get jerked around and played at that dealership, they'll wanna cover the little turds ass.

Sounds like a crappy situation now. Good luck.

    Wonder how he drives rentals?

Lol. I figured screw it I'll just post the emails. Me and the GM share the same name. Looks like the service manager emailed the wrong Steven

    Frank

First, let me apologize, I am not calling you a liar, but this is very frustrating. I was there when the alignment was done, everything was in the green,
The technician drove the vehicle and assured me that it was not pulling. He also noted that there was no vibration or noises.
As I stated in my message I left on your phone, I will be more than happy to drive this vehicle with you and verify your issues.
I cannot figure why it would pull when the alignment specs were all good. I am doing the best to make it right for you.

Alignment was done at @@@@ after they did the upper control arms. These were replaced because of the lift. This is very common. I came to you guys for an oil change only.

I think this last message was probably not meant to be sent to me but oh well. Great idea calling me a liar.

Mr @@@ is more than welcome to drive the truck and tell me if it feels normal.

This guy is up to something. I was back there the whole time @@@ did the alignment and it was perfect.
He also balanced all four tires, which were all out of balance. He drove and said it was perfect. The wind would
Have nothing to do with the pull., and there was no clunking. I am not doing anything else to this truck.

    Good morning,

Did you or the tech drive my truck yesterday after the alignment? It's still pulling this morning and popping/ clunking in turns. I know yesterday was really windy so it was difficult to tell if there was a pull or the wind was pushing it. I also pulled my records form the last balancing which was a road force balance. All 4 tires were within spec then.

Something is not right with the truck after another 4 hours waiting. Now I am having to drive my other vehicle.

You're still calm? This isn't on the news yet? Wow.

That GM must really be happy with the service manager now.

I'm pissed off but at work so I'm venting on here. They are going to catch hell when I return their call at lunch. I wish I could post the voicemail from the guy. He was stuttering bad :D. That idiot needs to learn how to use his email. I kind of wish I hadnt responded so quickly so I could see what else he said.

Kind of trying to keep this from blowing up until I figure out what is wrong with my truck. I blanked out email addresses and haven't posted the dealer name yet per a friend who is an attorney.

No offense, dude, but you added a comment to a thread instead of posting your comment or creating a new thread in the proper forum. You may choose to create a new thread in the forum "Wheels and Tires".
