Three weeks + my ass...you gots a 2012, they have used vehicles on the lot (the A-frame arms are interchangable through many years), you should not have YOUR truck out of commission because of the dealers fault. They need to pull a truck off the lot, pull the proper part, install on your truck...

Then they WAIT for the part to put their truck back on the lot, not you...the phuckers put U in this situation, let them suffer the WAIT they were putting on you...

It is time to put the hammer down, they are screwing with you....at this point it is time to consider hard tactics, just go in and go ballistic on them, under control, in the open...this is totally untenable....

Your patience in the matter is commendable, but at some point they, the dealer, has to put their best man on the project and make honey out of the shit they brought on through their error...

Whenever we phucked up bad in my line of work, stayed on the job until it was right, these guys you are dealing with are phucking you hard...

You should be fixed and on the road today or tomorrow with proper leverage...

Take a copy of this with you, maybe another third party blast will help, who knows...

Document all the time you lost due to their negligence, and then calculate a dollar value. Try to calculate how many of your projects will be delayed while they wait for parts. At this point you don't want a rental truck, you want your truck or the dealership pays for time lost. Get all the info into a demand letter that any lawyer can draft. Send it registered mail with signature required.

Right now, they have zero dollars invested in this issue. Just whatever they pay their techs, and that doesn't hit the bottom line. They haven't even paid for the parts yet, and who knows if they are even genuine. It's time they started respecting you, so let's make this expensive. Demand letters are cheap, some lawyers do them for free if they smell blood in the water.

I've said it before...I'm surprised this hasn't made the news. All four Austin stations would have jumped on this like paparazzi on a Kardashian.

DEMAND a rental... it's unreal their tech did all this nonsense simply parking your truck... they're responsible.

You need to advise Toyota Corp. of all of this... All the time you've invested is unreal. Which should have never happened. This is no cause or wrong doing on your part (except putting confidence in Toyota professionals...)

Yep. Waiting until this is resolved before calling them out. I was advised not to disclose the dealer name in case an attorney needs to become involved.

South Carolina Toyota Dealers source their parts from Southeast Toyota Distribution in Jacksonville, Fla.

I buy parts online from a dealer in Newnan Ga. If he doesn't have it in stock, it takes him 1 day to get it out of Jacksonville. OK - so yours takes maybe 2 days.

3 Weeks to get dealer parts for a vehicle that is only a couple of years old is absolute BS. These guys are jerking you around.

The part is on national back order. I have verified this with a few dealers that do mail order. Nobody seems to have this part in stock. Still waiting to hear from Camelback and Sam Stewart Toyota.

I think that's the wrong part number. Per the chart that is the passenger side. I need the drivers. I think the part number is 4806904040. The problem I keep running into is the site will say part is in stock but I call to confirm and it is not actually on their shelf. I will call that dealer today after work.

Amazon does that crap. They'll say something is in stock "ready to ship" when in fact it is listed with a supplier that hasn't updated their own inventory.

    Tools.

^ This. Or I'd stick those picture all over there Facebook and review sites. Legal action would be a good option to but I'm always nervous about that avenue.
