Can someone post a recipe for a date shake? I thought that was what happened in the car on prom night.

    Here's one:

    Ingredients:
    2 SERVINGS
    ¼ cup walnuts
½ cup Deglet Noor or Medjool dates, pitted
    Pinch of ground cinnamon
    Pinch of kosher salt
    1 cup vanilla ice cream

    Preparation:
Step 1 - Preheat oven to 350°. Toast walnuts on a rimmed baking sheet, tossing once, until slightly darkened in color and fragrant, 8–10 minutes. Let cool.

Step 2 - Meanwhile, place dates in a small bowl and add ½ cup hot water to cover; soak 10 minutes to soften.

Step 3 - Blend walnuts, dates with their soaking liquid, cinnamon, and salt in a blender until a coarse paste forms. Add ice cream and ¾ cup cracked ice and blend until smooth. Divide shake between 2 glasses.

This thread kept popping up at the top on the home page so I figured I'd check it out.

I'm sure a ton has been said over the course of 55 pages but holy shit, no paperwork was signed for 'said' truck as the OP never bought it.

Did he ever find another one?

    Here's an easier one:

    INGREDIENTS:
    • 4 pitted Medjool dates (about 3 ounces), coarsely chopped
    • ¼ cup very cold milk
    • 1 ¼ cups vanilla ice cream
    PREPARATION:
In a blender, blend dates and milk until smooth and very frothy. Add ice cream and pulse a few times, until just blended.

    Truck arriving 25th

I guess there were just too many quoted items that I didn't want to scroll through; hey I can admit it.

Good thing the OP got their truck finally.

Live in SF, but the truck and I spend a lot of time up at my friend's cabin in Cazadero (near Guerneville). Their property has almost 100% canopy cover from ~100' redwoods, and man, those things drop a lot of stuff, especially if it rains. :)

    Wow!!

I do, and I refuse to get help.
In fact, I'm about to order some more parts in a few minutes. And I got a call from FN telling me that my wheels are being shipped out.
