Fun fact, my buddy just bought a used 1st gen from a Ford dealership -- they're giving him free oil changes for life to leave the sticker on his truck.

No shit! You sure they don't offer free oil changes to anyone who buys a vehicle from them?

During my negotiations on buying a vehicle, I get them to the bare bottom price and then ask if they'll take another $1,000 off for the cost of advertising. 4 new cars later, none have accepted and all of them removed the sticker before handing over the keys.

I never thought to ask for free services. Though I'm not sure I would want free oil changes - I don't mind doing that myself.

i would heat up with a hair dryer, and use the fishing line method, and start on the end that isnt peeling already, then use Goo gone for any stickyness left behind.
