Ok, so you knew the mileage going in, before you signed up, right?

There is nothing to 'disclose'. You bought a Toyota from your local dealer.

Test drives or 'transfer' miles. Who cares? It's just miles. Not like it was in a mud pit or the drag strip.

    Nope.

Whine like a cupcake. It will give the sales team more fodder for the books they write about 'special customers'.

But seriously. What would you expect them to do? They've done nothing illegal, shady or mysterious. Well, at least not related to the topic at hand.

Great! Hope it exceeds all your expectations!

Yeah this is very common. It could be that another dealership had a caustomer that wanted one that yours had due to specific color/model, etc. and they traded for it.

It really just turned out that way. We wanted a 2016 Forester 2.5i Premium with Sunroof and roofrack. We took it to different dealers and one that had exactly what we wanted didn't budge. Most dealers will search to see what's available and trade, buy, or whatever to get it. Dealer 2 knew what we wanted and went to get it for us since we told them we'd buy at price X. Dealer 2 didn't know they were getting a car we already looked at; it just happened to be the same car. They were happy, we were happy, and I guess Dealer 1 got what they wanted out of the deal (dunno).

Mine had 600 miles on it. He said some review magazine or website or something took it and tested it out. Oh well, it has 2000 on it now. Only 350,000 left in the old girl.

Mine was a dealer trade. The truck I wanted was 160 miles away so I talked them into letting me go pick it up. I drove a new Tacoma to get mine after the paperworkwas completed.

Mine was trailered from Kansas to my Colorado dealership. It had 10 miles off the trailer and when I got it, 11 miles.

My 16 or had 175 miles on it and was from another dealer 6 months prior to when I bought it. When I saw it, I had to have it. Getting 2 grand off sticker price took me over the fence. Only thing is, now at 7k my oil is a year old and should be changed, this puts Toyota care in a tail spin.

Happens at all dealerships import and domestic. I called a dealership that was a couple hours away about a truck I wanted and they would not move on price , then I called a local dealer that had one to trade and they gave me the price I wanted and had it the next day. Called a dealer locate. It was the same truck from the dealership a couple hours away I was looking at too lol

I have also bought a tundra back in 2009 that was driven by a manager for some time then put up for sale. The discount was huge but was still considered a new vehicle.

They aren't giving these trucks away like the Ford and Chevy deals I keep seeing. Toyota makes less than 200,000 Tacomas per year the last time I checked. So just getting one you want is worth whatever you pay.

Just don't let a dealer charge an additional $10,000 for side boards and alloy wheels on a truck you want.

Plus you can only register it as new once. If it was previously registered, it would be sold as a used car.

I bought a "brand new" 2016 civic turbo ex-t with 114 miles on it......no regrets at all.

7000 miles later, not one single issue, and not 1 f*ck given, drive it, and enjoy it....

Bone stock other than new floor mats.
Agreed, if dealers don't have the stock they will negotiate with other dealers or ultimately order the vehicle for you. My local Toyota dealer has a few retirees that do nothing but drive new vehicles between dealerships for new owners. It's something I think could be fun in retirement.

Eh, the way they deal is just different. Ford and Chevy aren't giving away those trucks, but they factor it in to make it seem like they are giving you a deal. When you see $10,000 off of a $50,000-$70,0000 vehicle, you really aren't getting $10,000 off, they just factored it in the price.

As long as it is not from an accident, then I don't think you have to concern about it.
