Dealer told me 2019 Toyota Tacoma in Cavalry Blue is not available in California

    Been dealing with non-stop fukery here in central California with local toyota dealerships.

    Just received an email from my local Toyota salesman who I've been trying to deal with and asked him for a quote for a 2019 Tacoma, Cavalry Blue, Double Cab, Short Bed, 4x4, predator steps, technology package.

    Here is his response:

    "Unfortunately the 2019 Toyota Tacoma in Cavalry Blue is not available in California."
    Then he quotes me for out the door price of a white one for $39,886.46

    Anyone else find this to be complete bs??

    Check toyota.com it give the list of dealers in your area with options selected. It's possible there is no cavalry blue in california.

    Toyota of Escondido currently has a Sport Trim in stock, so the guy that you're dealing with is giving you a line of BS so he can sell one off the lot. Not to mention, Escondido's MSRP is less that what your guy is quoting.

    I saw one in Orange County this past weekend. They’re available. Like other comments here, the sales person is full of it. I recommend checking out the dealership websites in your area (not Toyota.com) and look until you find one. You may have to drive a bit to find one but they’re being sold in California.

    Toyota inventory site has 264 using 91762 zip.
    That dealer just wants to sell a white truck today.
    Tell them to go F them selves... hard !

    South bay Toyota had one last week seems like bs. Probably just harder to get and wants to make a sale. When I was price checking new tacos a few years ago they told me v6 manual trucks are not available in California which doesn't seem believable either.

    They have a TRD PRO in Cavalry Blue here at Ventura Toyota. No markup, but $48k STICKER. It was there today, 11/2/2018. Hope this helps!
