Truck just hit 10k and is at its first real dealer visit today (had the oil changed at 5K but nothing else). Overall extremely happy with the truck, and most of what I have them looking at is just annoyances, but IMO annoyances that shouldn't exist on a truck at $36K.

Here's what I have them looking at. Think they can get it all right the first time? I also took it in last week as a "pre visit" when I made the appointment to show the service advisor the issues so there wouldn't be any confusion/parts required the day of, as I needed my car back by the end of the day today. I worked in an Acura/Subaru dealership for years so tried to be as proactive and helpful to the SA to try to help them solve everything the first time.

-LCA howl (I kept telling the guy it sounded like it was coming from under the car, SA kept gravitating toward a "bad door seal" explanation?)
-Windows rattle bad when 1/4 to 1/2 way down
-Front seat cover coming off, detached in bottom cushion center since new and couldn't reattach
    -Pax speaker/dash rattle
    -Squeaky clutch pedal
-Pax climate control knob very stiff (they ordered the climate unit in advance to replace today)
-10K service & Install T4R Trail Edition wheels and reprogram TPMS sensors

I also have the intermittent fuel pump chirp (at times it's pretty loud) but am trying to figure out if that's a gas thing or something that actually needs fixing. Figured I had enough on the agenda for one day.

Pay $60k for an F150 and you may not have those annoyances....

Like you said $36k which puts the truck at one of the cheapest on the market...

your choice of "pax" as an abbreviation annoys me probably more than it should... lol.

but good luck on your servicing... sounds all doable, and will certainly improve your and your pax riding experience.

Haha now that you point it out it sounds pretty stupid. The service advisers used "pax" on a lot of writeups at the dealership I worked at in college and I guess I never dropped it.

I'm guessing you are spot on with the exception of the climate control, they had ordered a new unit in advance as like I said I went in and showed the service adviser the issue when I made the appointment and he ordered the part then.

seriously, I would live with a 'stiff' climate control knob rather than some low level tech tearing into my dashboard and console.

I half agree with you, we'll see how they do. The knob thing is weird, though, and figured I'd rather have it fixed. I don't know how involved it is to switch out the climate control unit but would hope it's no harder than swapping the radio head unit.

Here is the verdict upon pickup

-LCA howl (I told the adviser multiple times it sounded like it was coming from under the car, SA kept gravitating toward a "bad door seal" explanation?)
"checked door seals, all look fine". Told SA for a 3rd time at pickup it's under the car and there is a TSB for it. He looked it up and ordered the plugs, they didn't have any in stock. It was the first he'd heard of that TSB.
-Front seat cover coming off, detached in bottom cushion center since new and couldn't reattach DONE
-Pax climate control knob very stiff (they ordered the climate unit in advance to replace today) DONE
-10K service & Install T4R Trail Edition wheels and reprogram TPMS sensors DONE
-Windows rattle bad when 1/4 to 1/2 way down "could not duplicate" aka pound salt
-Pax speaker/dash rattle pound salt (not surprising, it only happens when it's cold, and yesterday was warm)
-Squeaky clutch pedal pound salt (of course, again, only happens when it's cold. very loud.)

Passanger a/c knob stiff as well. Replaced after second request. Check your rear bumper for alignment.

I'd say it was a successful trip! IN regards to your speaker/dash rattle. If it's the infamous passenger side one, what helped for me was pushing down on the plastic A piller. I heard a small click, and my noise is gone now. It only happens when it was really cold out too.

This morning it was cold again and I'd finally had it, I pushed with all of my strength on the A pillar cover, it created some separation between the pillar and the edge of the speaker grille (where I could see a white mark as the two had been rubbing) and the noise is gone. I'd previously banged on it with my hands to try to "snap it in" with no luck, but two hands pushing as hard as I could seemed to do the trick.
