One of the few drawbacks to this truck is you can't fit a normal-sized human being in the back seat comfortably. If you need to have back seat passengers regularly I think the 4Runner is a good move, especially if there is no huge loss on the trade.

 

Based on the explanation you provided, I would probably go for it. You did not mention how old the kids are but if you are dealing with car seats I would definitely do the swap. I wanted a Tacoma for years. I waited until the kids were grown and gone. It is perfect for me now, but would have been a bit challenging when the kids were still at home.

 

Typically when you go check out a vehicle you should sit in the back seat.... if you plan on having people in the back seat. Seems like an easy issue to avoid

 

Not true. I sit in the driver's seat. I am comfortable. Everyone else, who cares!!
