Also, not sure why some people think this truck is ugly...

Hell the first thing most bro's do is put black wheels and big ole tires on their brand new truck.

This truck is not any uglier than 90% of the trucks I see posted everyday on TW.

Other than being ugly as a chapped asshole sucking buttermilk... If some idiot buys that, it's on them. With all the info out there these days nobody should complain about getting ripped off for not doing their homework.

You forgot the fancy DECNALS (say with Ricky's inflection) and rain/sun visor things on the doors.

    Man, ugly IMO

90%? I'd have to disagree with that. The price is what makes this one stand out as being more ugly. 4k in wheels, tires, side steps, spacer lift, and bug guard/vent visors, lame ass dealer sticker = 9K charge?

I do too, and I have a good relationship with our dealer--have family and friends that work for them, always buy my parts through them, etc.

    I just don't like stickers.

    OP is in NC.

That's like 97% of trucks in NC.

How does anyone know it's a spacer lift? Just because a dealer did it? I don't see it on the options sheet just the total price.

That's just an assumption, it's very rare to see a dealer modded truck that doesn't have a spacer lift or sometimes a cheap (relatively speaking) DB lift. I'd like to see the actual sheet break down.

I got a hundy that says "Spacer lift" on it.... just sayin.... how many dealerships you ever see put a proper lift on a truck to go wheeling??

To answer your question tho.. the wheels & tires.... they are not meant to go anywhere but mall...

My local dealer which was sold to a larger chain of dealers a couple of years ago had a Tacoma in the showroom I was eyeballing with a nice lift. Looked underneath and saw it was icon. Kind surprised me but was told it's all they use. I ended up with a 4runner after deciding between the two. They installed the icon lift on my runner as well and it has been awesome and trouble free going on over 4 years now. I still go there for service but all the old people seem to be gone. A shame because they were local now they are a more impersonal chain store dealer that's just gotten to big. I wouldn't trust the new dealer to not throw a spacer lift on anything and call it good

i wish we knew how the stealership modified the truck, then we could really size up exactly how dumb the asking price is.

Yup. But I'm sure NC is not alone! Lol

I don't think the truck is ugly. Heck, I wouldn't mind a lift and big tires. It's 1. The inflated price and 2. The deceiving decal. I can see someone confuse it with the OR trim. My wife would, hence why she never goes car shopping.
