yup i agree, after a couple weeks of driving it around. It rides better, not stiff at all. I would describe it as firm, solid, stable feeling. I had loaded my truck with the usual sporting event stuff this past weekend and it handled great.

Went in for an evaluation with the TSB in my back pocket just in case. Explained the symptoms of the harsh ride I was experiencing and they took it back to have a look. An hour later, they brought it back and said they ordered the parts, I didn't even have to pull out the TSB. Two days later the parts dept called and said the wrong parts came in, they were the ones I had on the truck. When the new ones came in, I sat up an appointment, took it in, and within 3 hours they were done. Everyone at the dealership was very nice and a pleasure to deal with. They even dropped me off at the mall and picked me up when they were finished.

Dropped my 08 off today (City Toyota) and they called and said it was done. One look and I knew they &^%% up. It had the new 4 pack leafs but no new shocks. needless to say I was pissed. So I am driving the loaner Camry hybrid until tomorrow when they claim it will be done. What a pain in the A$$ We will see if they get it right...

Add City Toyota in Daly City CA to the list, finally got mine back, it was a 08 non TRD PreRunner. They initally only added rear leafs..I pointed out to them my truck was not a TRD they then added 4 shocks and front springs. HUGE difference in the ride, much improved!!! They also added the front leveling spacers at no cost so I got it leveled, aligned within spec and firmed up all for free!!!!!spacers were $65

Day Toyota. Went in and asked them about the TSB and it was no problem. The service advisor took the info from the truck and ordered the parts. Could not believe how easy it was. When I asked him what was ordered he said said rear springs and shocks. I told him I think the TSB only called for rear springs. He said also the shocks. When they call me that the parts are in I will check numbers, I do not want to have my Blistens replaced with some other shocks.

You don't have Bilstiens unless you have a TRD package, in which case you should only be getting springs. Only the non-TRD trucks get the Bilsteins that are stock on the TRD models.

Toyota of Hollywood did mine today. Great service. Went in, showed them the TSB and they said "ok, parts should be in tomorrow". I had 5100s set at 2.5 and an AAL in the rear, they didn't give me any problems because of it.

San Marcos Toyota did it last week in none other than San Marcos, TX.

Helps to just print off a copy of the TSB and highlight the new parts needed to avoid any confusion either. Just a suggestion:D

Does anyone know if the leveling of the front is included with the TSB on Non-TRD models? Why do the front shocls get replaced?

No, they do not level it. My guess is they put the bilstein shocks on the front so you don't have mismatched shocks on there.
