Thanks hoosiertaco! The work was completed last night and I did not have a chance to take a decent picture of the work. I will go into detail when I post the pics but I will state that the ride has definitely improved. Please send me a message if you have a question about the work I had done and I will do my best to answer. If you have a Blackberry you may message me at 2461F24B.

Can't take the credit for myself, all I have learned is credited to TW....;)
    Glad you are happy.

Your Blackberry offer may come in handy for someone that needs some quick help, nice of you to make that offer.

As far as me and blackberrys, the only ones this here redneck ever had were either eaten on the spot of harvest with bloody arms and fingers, or delivered back to grandpa to make wine out of...:p

South Bay Toyota - Gardena, Ca.

No hassles whatsoever when I described the problem. Took them about 3 days to get the parts, did the TSB in about 5 hours. Perfect install! 4 leaf packs, new springs, new bilsteins all around. Plus they aligned it perfectly.

Rides much better now. Stiffer, no so "cushy"/bouncy. I can go off a curb now and not have my front tires bump the wheel well (happened all the time turning out of a very tight 7-11 parking lot).

Had my TSB done at Stadium Toyata of Tampa Florida. Was a very pleasant experience. Took them a full day and gave a rental to hold me over till it was finished.

Tried to get the TSB done, as of the 12th of January, it only applies to 4x4 Taco's. WTF?

This part doesn't make sense, since the Prerunner is a 2wd.

Applicability has been updated to clarify that this TSB applies ONLY to 4WD Tacoma
vehicles (4x4 and PreRunner) with Access or Double cabs.

You need to head back there and tell them you have the Prerunner which is included. Or you could call the 1-800 number and have them work it out.

The new TSB specifically includes the prerunner as a 4x4. You've got nothing to worry about.

Called the 800 # this morning to get a clarification, the Prerunner IS included because it has the same suspension as the 4 x 4. Received a Toyota case #. Called dealership, talked with the service rep., had him go over the TSB and reread the part in parenthesis. He agreed that the Prerunner was a 4 x 2, reluctantly he said it would quailfy, but that he looked at it already and could not find anything wrong and Toyota does not change out something when they can't find something wrong.. I called BS!!!!!!!

Talked with service Mgr, explained what had happened, he said, well he works for and we already have the parts, come on in.

Will update this afternoon. Hopefully, all goes well.

Getting it done right now. Service MGR was very apologetic and said he chewed out the original service rep. Made me smile when I seen him, he looked the other way. Lol.

Got mine back and can't believe how much better it rides. If anyones on the fence about getting it done stop worrying about it and go get it done now.

Big thanks to this forum, i wouldn't have known about it without this place. :D

Ok, got it done in about three hours, and right.

    Here's my thoughts:

It has more rake to the front end. Glad i have the 265's, or it would be a bit noticable.

It is stiffer, i can tell a difference, but i like it that way.

Rounding corners, this is where you will feel the biggest difference, it feels tighter and takes the corners alot better.

Overall, i am very glad i had this done. The truck feels stronger and has increased stability.

Thanks to all who have posted on here with information, it was the only reason i was able to get this done.

    Now i need a lift.:D

Ourisman Fairfax Toyota in Fairfax, Virginia performed the TSB on my 2009 Doublecab today. I couldn't be happier with the way I was treated. I had contacted numerous dealerships in the Northern Virginia area (including where I bought my truck) and got all kinds of push back and excuses because the 2009 isn't specifically on the TSB...yet. Finally, I contacted Ken Gilbert at Ourisman Fairfax (thanks to Teufel Hunden) and 4 days later my truck rides much better.
