Dealers who performed the Suspension TSB

What update on the transmission (TSB) is there out there and does it pertain to manuel trannys?

The tsb he is referencing is for the auto's.

 

At the dealer now. They told me its going to take a few hours to inspect which was the first argument and I may need to fiil out a survey lol. This is gonna be a
good time.

 

Classic Toyota in Mentor, OH no questions asked. Gave them the tsb number and they ordered the parts.

Rear springs and alignment on my truck (TRD OR)
I did not buy the truck from them. Stopped by a week ago with trailer hooked up. (Saturday) Call from SM following Tuesday to confirm and set up appointment for work. Installed this past Saturday.

Very well done. Even allowed me to pick the tech I wanted. (I had worked with him in the past) They know I am a mechanic and will not be a "regular" customer but took care of me with a smile and a thank you.

 

That should not be an argument. The TSB requires the tech to verify that the customer concern is likely to be remedied by the TSB work. In other words, make sure there is not something else causing the "harsh ride" and the springs not fixing it. They are following procedure. You will get a smoother process if you allow them to do that. Go in looking for an argument and you are more likely to find one.

Shockingly, Brown's Toyota in Glen Burnie MD. I was out of warranty by over a month and they still agreed to do it. Its actually there right now getting a new set of rear springs. I thought for sure they would fight me on this.

I just boguht my truck 2 weeks ago. How do i know id it's had the tsb done or not?

 

Springfield Toyota ordered my parts on friday.. will be getting doen when I get back from vegas next week.

 

Check your rear leaf springs... if you have two + helper (three springs) NO
three + helper (four springs) yes.

If you bought it new, then probably not

 

I knew walking in and first impressions I was dealing with the typical dealer kno it alls making $10 an hour. Got approved for the tsb and was told it would cost an additional $700 to install 5100's which I of course passed on and will do prior to bringing the truck in for tsb. When I asked just to confirm they will be aligning with the tsb they said its not included in the tsb. I'm going to make sure I speak with toyota prior to the install.

i have a 2008 double cab 4x4 sr5 trd, how can i find out if mine is in this tsb

 

Just had Beechmont Toyota do my TSB today, they were great even installed my 5100's in the rear for free .. Rides so much better

 

Do a search for leaf spring tsb and you will find more than you can read

 

Sansone toyota woodbridge NJ said alignment wasnt included in the TSB and wanted $700 to install 5100's. James toyota in flemington NJ will be doing the trans TSB, leaf TSB with alignment and installing 5100's for $200.
