No issues at all on 2009 DC Sport. Showed the guy the buffed off areas on the frame where the bump stops had touched. Had the parts there and finished the install that same week.

Toyota Escondido (SoCal) did the rear leaf TSB and the steering intermediate shaft TSB on mine this week. I pick it up tomorrow - stoked! They wanted to inspect it first and I had to test drive it with the tech to point out the loose steering on gravel, but they're doing it.

I'm pretty impressed with them so far. They also went all out to find & fix a really annoying squeak around the windshield. They were going to pull and reseal the windshield but ended up finding that the squeak was fom a bad weld in the frame around the window. Dude, they ripped apart and welded my truck to fix it! Awesome!!

Longo Toyota, El Monte, CA. I said it sagged under load. Had to leave it with them so that they can verify problem. They called me to pick up my truck and said they ordered parts. A few days later, parts were in. Took it in at 9:00 am Tuesday & it was done by 4:00 pm. Finally got it done! :yay::taco: Ride is not harsh at all, hardly noticeable. Back end sits about an inch higher. Maybe it'll settle some.

If you have 3-pack rear leaf springs, your truck will sag & bottom-out under load. Bump stops will hit the frame. I would advise anyone to have it done. What good is a truck if you can't carry or haul a load or tow a trailer safely? The TSB is for a sturdier 4-pack rear leaf springs & alignment, maybe new shocks as well for non-TRD models. I think they look for bump marks from the bump stops on the frame. I'm surprised they're still using 3-pack leaf springs on 2011's. Good luck.

Coggin Toyota in Jacksonville Fl. is replacing them with no problem. I said I didn't like the way the rear end felt bouncy while pulling the boat. The service writer said he has done several already. My appointment is this Thursday.

I just don't know?? I just don't trust any mechanic touching my truck, he might screw it up, strip out some bolts and next thing the rear axle might fall out...
everytime I take any of my past trucks in for either state inspection or tires the lug nuts are either over-tightened, or loose, on my older 4x4 with manual hubs the mechanic screwed up the hub, smashed it with a hammer out of round that I couldn't lock my hubs.
I would love to have that done since I do have the tow package and planning on some heavy towing this summer, but,,, I just don't trust them

Had the TSB done last week at Hyland Toyota Moline, IL. It took 3 phone calls talking with the service department, with me expressing concern about harsh ride when towing a trailor. They mention more than once that the ride would be stiffer when not loaded. I told them that was fine. They order the parts and a week later installed the new 4 leaf. I could tell right away that the rear was higher and yes it rides rougher but not to the point its offensive. IMHO.

Arlington Toyota in Palatine. I gota 2010 TRD Sport. Under my Platinum coverage I got a free rental as well. I brought it in cause i was getting some really bad vibes/shaking/bouncing. Erik Rudd looked up any known issues and recalls and found the TSB (which i already knew about) and set it up. Go see Erik, he fought with the people who manage the extended coverage to get me my free rental. Dropped it off about noon today and should be ready in the AM tomorrow

Had mine done at my stealership a few months back. They pushed a little at first, but when I brought in the TSB that I printed off here and gave it to them, they relented and did it for me with no problem. They said I was the only Taco owner that they'd done it for.

Will be getting it done first week of March. Went in for my free oil change given from the recall and told them that i was bottoming out with a few hundred pounds in the back. I told them that it was only a few times and that i had already checked the bumpstops for any signs and didn't see much. They said they needed to verify before doing it. When i came back to pick it up - they told me they couldn't "verify" it....BUT... if i wanted it done, then they would have to order the parts. Basically it wasn't a problem at all getting them to do it...

Parts are available. They just don't have an opening until 1st week of March. Looking forward...

Dan Cava toyota in Fairmont WV did a good job on mine.
I had the bouncy ride with a significant load. I always went super slow over the tracks to prevent actual bottoming out, and they didn't question me or make me reproduce it.

One thing to advise, I brought the tsb with me. The employee I spoke with said he was taking my bilsteins out and replacing them with an inferior product, along with the leaf springs. I showed the tsb and he had them mixed up.

Also, they warned of a rough ride after, but there is no difference before or after (TRD SPORT MODEL). I inspected the job and gained 1 inch of lift of the rear, hopefully to be reduced over time.
