    Semantics

Even the NRA, 2ATF, and other supporters use the terms interchangeably.
Friends who have been in SF likewise, and I'm not going to argue with a retired Ranger.

I work at a dealership also. The stuff we get accused of is unreal.

Just a month ago, a customer said I stole two of his bottled waters. I just took a couple out of my fridge and told the service advistor to give these to the customer.
A few years ago, a cust accused me of stealing his weed. I said, "let's go file a police report then". He left quickly.

We had a porter stealing money out of customers ash tray. The service manager put oil leak dye on some change and planted it in a car. Sure enough the change came up missing. They called the porters into the office and told them empty their pockets. Manger pulled out a black light-bam, coins lit up bright green.:D

It's not semantics, one is language in active, ignorant, ban legislation, the other is an actual term.

    They are both actual terms.

A "clip" is used to retain cartridges in a group to aid in loading a magazine (whether the magazine is attached to the weapon or separate).

"Assault Clip" is language in active, ignorant ban talking points.

But for the past 40 years, people on all sides of the issues have used the term "clip" to refer to a magazine.

I didn't know that any certain employee was found guilty yet. Perhaps I didn't see the post where they found out who it was.

This is why we see active anti "clip" statements throughout the gun communities? Every place of business, or person I know within said communities refuse to allow "clip." It's a gangster term. It's a magazine.

This is her language "... And it will ban the same for big clips, drums or strips of more than 10 bullets..."

If you want to side with that, fine.

Good lord, I think people search for "clip" sometimes hoping someone is using the term for magazine so they can call them out. No one cares.

Kind of a weak statement on your part. Either say you think I came looking for clip or not. OP claimed item stolen, I came looking to see what was all was taken which could be change up to an ipod.. a mag wasn't on my radar. Then I see a LEO use a word associated with gangster activity and I made a post. Deal with it bro.

The term has been used improperly since before you were born and long before "gangsta" was even a concern to society.

There are more important thing to put our energy into.
It's language. It is used to communicate thoughts and ideas.
When someone misuses the term "clip" to refer to a "magazine", you know what they are talking about.

Look, I'm not conceding my remarks as they remain valid in the real world regardless of my age. I've re read most of your statements and will reflect on them to gain your perspective, I'm not in a mood conducive to friendly debate so I'm going to have to bow out at this point. I'm opposite of the Christmas spirit at the moment and dont want to infect anyone else lol Have a good one.

those are not even close to interchangable lol

    Same thing aren't they?

    Rim/wheel

    Tire.

Or... is the rim the metal part, and the "wheel" the entire assembly?
If so, then is the hub a part of the wheel or a part of the spindle?

It was a play on "There there there, come on guys!" All three sound the same and if I didn't spell it three different ways, you all would think the same, "THERE".

The same is the same. clip/magazine, rim/wheel, cilantro/coriander/chinese parsley.

about 3 months ago I had my 2012 Maxima stolen while I as asleep in a hotel in Atlanta.I filed a police report and was told they would never find it. The police took the report over the phone since it was a non emergency. I went to the desk and asked the person there if we could watch the tapes. He of course said "no, only the general manager can access them and he will be here in a few mins".. The gen manager was sketchy from the start. He said that the video was HD and would be easy to see... somehow the camera that faced that way wasnt working that night... anyhow.. the police called me a few weeks weeks later and told me that my car was recovered but stripped.. The night time hotel worker and the general manager were both arrested. Seems they had some sort of theft ring going on with some other friends of theirs.. After about 10 cars were stolen in a month, the police stepped up the investigation... Still going through the courts..

Long story... File a police report. The dealership isnt going to admit to it. Even if they see it and fire the guy-- but if its their best mechanic.. or the service managers brother.... haha...

    ... ^^^ ... Ditto ... :D

FWIW ... many dealerships have "vehicle gophers" ... the guys who run to lot and drive the vehicles into and out of the service bay. This saves time for the more valuable techs. The "vehicle gophers" move the vehicles in the lot too. So, I would doubt that only 1 person was in your vehicle. ...

I'm sure he feels as though he has addressed your concerns as best he could. At this point nothing he says will bring back the magazine or identify who took it. What really seems odd to me is why a master technician, the only one to have worked on your truck, would risk his job for such a random, kind of inexpensive item. Seems like a huge risk, especially with cameras in the service area. You didn't take your truck to a carwash, did you? Car washes are notorious for employing folks with questionable criminal histories who like to lift items from the vehicles.
