    Hey folks,

It's been a year since I first walked into the Dealer and they advised that my truck could qualify for a frame recall. Since then, they've inspected it, and put me on the list, but I'm still waiting, after calling several times over many months.

I'm a Maple Syrup eater (aka Canadian), but has anyone else had issues waiting this long for the job to get done? Heck, I even didn't even do my rust prevention treatment this fall, because they told me not to bother.

I'm just tired of getting the runaround...

I have an 05' and it took nearly 7 months - maybe its the year? I hear your frustration -- just think, one less winter/salt on your new frame.

Call the corporate number in the manual, same one you call for arbitration. They seem to want to help!

It sounds like they might be doing you a favour. They can't get approval for a frame replacement unless there is a 10 mm perforation of the frame. They may be waiting for this since your frame condition is almost but not quite there. I believe there was an extension on the '05+ frame replacement. That is what you will want to verify.

yeah on my 05 in ontario (belleville toyota) it took 8 months, the parts were on "recall" is what they kept telling me, once they finally took it in it was done in less than a week, its well worth the wait :D

Hmmm, well if you're already approved then; I waited from March until July last year for the frame to arrive.

You got me scared - I was told the work had to be done by the end of May and it's March 9th ! I'm approved - is there any chance for an extension if the frame doesn't come in ?

It's been approved since April... The dealer is saying that the frames are on back order. I'm calling B.S...

Ah, then it's because you're still driving your truck. Any truck that has been pulled off the road for safety means Toyota is paying for a rental. Those higher cost swap jobs will get priority. My truck was parked when the engine mount caved in. They are diverting frames to those jobs to reduce the rental costs.

That's the plan... It's 11pm here, but going to call first thing in the morning. I'm thinking the dealer bit off more than they can chew.... probably have more units to replace than they can handle, or they are prioritizing trucks that aren't driveable. Either way, hearing the same thing, month after month... is getting annoying.

Thanks for all the comments, and I'll make sure to update this when I hear more.

Took from Aug, frame failed test, till Jan to get my frame. You should of got an invoice in the mail showing you all the parts ordered. I got my invoice a week after it failed the test. Then 5 months waiting for the parts to come in. Week to do the job. I was still driving mine until they called for me to bring it in. Then they gave me a '16 Taco to drive while they worked on it. If your in the system you should be good.

Make sure if or when you have the replacement.Check and recheck after it is done.I had only one scratch down low on plastic and rear bumper top pads under the tail lites. But you really can't mind having a new frame!!!
