^I just added the axle to the cart on Camelback's site. The site charges $40 shipping for the axle. Presumably it'll cost about the same to ship the core back. Net credit is therefore only about $35.

So $146, still not a bad price for an oem reman.

Anybody have any luck buying one of these? I ordered one & they canceled my order saying its out of stock & no backorders.

If not what cv axle did you get & what'd you pay? TIA

I buy local take-off's from local salvage yards for ~$100 each depending on mileage.

Less than a year old thread and everywhere I checked says "discontinued item". I guess nothing good lasts forever...

I would do the remanufactured ones without a blink. I've put on a knockoff one and had zero problems. The OEM reman have to be a lot better. My guess is that the put on new cones (or whatever the receiver part is called) and new bearings then grease it up and put on a new boot. What else wears out unless you got horrible issues with the spline ends?

@Cody_bashian can you tell me if that dealership in fort worth came thru for the reman shafts…? Every dealership up here in the northeast says they are no longer available. Thanks!

Unfortunately no. Order went through but then the dealership followed up and they are no longer available.

@Cody_bashian ok thanks for the reply. I’m going to order an oem shaft and a boot kit from a local dealer - then do a ‘drop, swap and reboot’. I’ll stay oem and have a spare.
