It's always good to know your Dealer, especially the people that work there. But, from what I've seen it turns into a love/hate relationship (mostly hate). Unless, you buy or lease a vehicle from them every year or two.

They make next to nothing on oil changes. Lose money on free tire rotations. And I exacerbate their lower margin issues by "stealing" their donuts.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Why would you think that you had to?
Wouldn't matter to the dealer. They might just be doing as part of prep before putting it on the used vehicle lot.
I certainly wouldn't do it for that reason.

While it's under warranty, I'll stick with the dealer for oil changes and tire rotation. Usually hovers around $100, but like others have said, they do a pretty complete check of everything else. My dealer here in Florida isnt pushy about doing all the BS crap like others I've been to. Las time I went to jiffy lube, they didnt tighten the drain cap. splashed oil everywhere. Went back and they denied denied denied. last time I went there.

Not sure how long it will be until I find a truck I like. Yes, I have to change the oil. Haven't in over a year as I haven't went anyplace like work which is 26 miles away. Been working from home.

Once you're out of warranty don't buy into the change your oil every year no matter the miles.

I've driven 600 miles in two years and haven't changed my oil since 2019. Screw the haters.

I’ve always had my mechanic do my oil changes on all my cars. I just buy my own oil, and filters, and he’ll charge me $20 for labor.

I buy the oil filter and engine oil and do it myself or if I don’t want to, I go to the same tire shop I changed all my tires at and pay them $35 to do it. I stopped going to the dealer because I would make an appointment and drop it off for 4 hours just for an oil change. I don’t have time for that.

I got quoted $89 and I passed on it. I double checked the free oil changes and they did a sloppy job. Didn’t wipe down any oil residue.

This is what is has come to in the 3rd gen section, we're recommending Jiffy Lube vs. the dealer?

At least if the dealer drains your transmission they can fix it
At least if the dealer breaks for oil filter cap they can fix it

I once took my former 2014 F150 with the 5.0 to Jiffy Lube because I was in a pinch. It's a company vehicle and much not to my surprise they stripped the drain plug. I had to limp it across the street to Ford and have them replace the fucking oil pan on a 2 year old truck. I rather just not change the fucking oil vs. going to Jiffy Lube.

Plus Jiffy Lube has been caught in so many under cover investigations ripping people off that it makes any new car dealer look like saint.
